August is ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Month... so every year for Kai’ birthday I will be doing an ice bucket challenge with my family to help raise awareness of ALS and someday find a cure. Please join me this month by either donating or participating in your own ice bucket challenge
Earlier this week was the five year anniversary of Bob going to heaven, and we have a very special message from Debra Deyan.
I know Bob is making angels laugh and I should be happy. And, some parts of me are happy. But, after five years the pain of missing him is still in my throat. I am still hoping for a cure for the tragic disease that took him much too early. Join me in remembering Bob and continuing our efforts to eradicate ALS for good.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Ice Bucket challenge in the past and has supported our efforts to realize Bob's dream of a world without ALS. It means everything to me and I know Bob is proud. *Feel free to leave a comment with your favorite memory with Bob.
My hero is my dad because he is determined. He is very intelligent since he was a former MRI technician. He has PLS, which means that he can't really move often, but he tries his best to move around as best as he can. He is dedicated to his family and friends. My dad has a good sense of humor and can take a joke.
Beyond proud of my wonderful husband! Today he graduated Airman Leadership School (ALS) and got the leadership award and the distinguished graduate award. Oh yeah, and he is a Staff Sergeant select with a line #5740 . ✨👏🏼🏆🇺🇸

As you may have seen I’ve been #fundraising for the Vincent family from my hometown in #NH . Five years ago, their son, Nathan (in the white shirt), was diagnosed with #ALS . Nathan is now a 27 year old man, but, over the past couple weeks, I’ve been thinking about all of the times I spent with their incredible family when Nathan, Ian, Nick and I were just carefree kids. Whether we were playing hockey on our knees, building a fort in the woods, jumping on the trampoline or into their pool in the summer or off their deck into the snow in the winter (until Gail caught us), or, if these photos from my 13th birthday are to be believed, drinking a ton of #mountaindew ... every day spent with them was a day well spent. I’m so #grateful for that time and for the impact they had on my childhood. 💙
Last week a friend called, and she couldn’t stop thinking about the Vincents either (their impact reached way beyond just me). We talked about wishing there was more we could do. Then she helped us see there IS more we could do, and she brought people together with the idea of a silent auction. With our combined talents, that idea has taken on a life of its own, and the fundraiser has raised over $6,600 in just 6 days, leading up to the main event, the #silentauction . The event will take place in #PittsfieldNH on next Thursday, August 29 with an #icebucketchallenge inspired #dunktank and a chance to see all the generously donated goods and services you’ll be able to bid on. The bidding will be taking place online, so it’s not necessary for you to attend the event to participate! But there is still more we can do!
The disease has recently progressed to a more critical stage and both of his parents need to be home with him. And therefore are not at work.
Our hope is to alleviate any concern the family has about money so they can focus on spending time with Nathan. Our goal is to reach $10k before the auction begins.
If you can, please go to the LINK IN MY BIO TO DONATE. No matter the size, any donation will mean the world to this family and to me! PLEASE HELP US REACH OUR GOAL!
Hey guys! Our good friend @bq365 from @365mx has decided to partner up with #teamcurryracing and do something great in support of a close friend of ours who is currently fighting the fight against #ALS . That close friend just happens to be Thurman Maynard from #ThurmanTough . Thurman is one of the biggest curry Racing X @bq365 fans out there and for giving so much support we want to give just as much back by providing an autographed @365mx jersey by Brett himself to raffle off! All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Thurman and his family at his next fundraiser on October 5th!
To enter and win Brett cues autographed jersey or simply just make a donation, look below in the comments! ⬇️

Today’s post is a bit different (if you want the usual stuff feel free to read the blog when it’s up later) because today would’ve been Kevin’s birthday. It’s been a beautiful day with some lovely walking, a special rainbow and stunning skies, all of which have made us feel very close to him. Because it’s his birthday (and because we’ve spent most of the day battling through 40mph winds 😂) we’ve decided to increase our target to £5000. Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported us so far and given us the confidence to do this! ❤️❤️❤️
truth is: this isn’t my first network marketing gig. i was hooked from the jump: the excitement of sharing info with people you care about, the thrill of your first sale, first event, first team member, and the confidence that comes from your investment into learning the products and company.
i remember thinking, “if only i had more time in the day”. ⏰ long term disability, terminal disease, home bound body - i’ve suddenly got all the time in every single day. 👯♀️ i needed to find a way to stay connected in a community outside of my disease - insert the boss babes of #monat 💰 i needed to find a way to contribute financially to our family - cha ching! the monat comp plan pays back 50 cents of every dollar back into the sales force.
i prayed for direction, opportunity, and encouragement 👏🏼 sling’n shampoo has changed our life, what could this opportunity do for you?

Douglas County Fire District 2 and Chelan County Fire District 1, both Wenatchee Valley Fire Fighters L453, are teaming up to show their continued support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) as its members kick off the annual Fill the Boot fundraising campaign to raise critical funds to help transform the lives of kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases.
Continuing a 65-year tradition, dedicated fire fighters will hit the streets with boots in hand asking pedestrians, motorist, customers and other passersby to make a donation. They will be at the intersection of 19th St. and Valley Mall Pkwy from 9AM-2PM on Saturday, August 24th. The community can also donate online at www.filltheboot.donordrive.com/team/7169 .

Was heißt denn „nur“?!
