One of my favorite pictures from my time at @mispeedway this weekend for the #consumersenergy400 - so awesome to catch up with former track president Roger Curtis in his new role as @consumersenergy VP of public affairs. Still the same amazing guy he’s always been. He insisted on this picture after we shared some of our cookies with him before we delivered the rest to our pit crew track family on pit road Sunday morning. Cheesy grins all the way around.
As for the MIS team, you all did a great job all weekend. New traffic pattern was a bit bumpy on Friday but great job smoothing out the kinks as the weekend progressed. Well done! 😁👍 #nascar#trackfamily#cookiegirls#latergram
NEWS: Austin Dillon and Daniel Hemric have been awarded a L1 penalty this past weekend due to an alternator issue on both of their cars. The two teams had alternator issues throughout the Michigan weekend, and was hit with yet another penalty. The No. 3 & 8 teams were fined 10 driver and owner points, along with crew chiefs Danny Stockman of the No. 3 and Luke Lambert of the No. 8 receiving $25,000 fines.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series at Mid-Ohio had only one penalty post race; The penalty being a $5,000 fine to Brandon Jones’ Crew Chief Jeff Meendering for an improperly installed lug nut on the No. 19 car.
Kevin Harvick picked up his second win in the last four races with Sunday's #consumersenergy400 triumph.
Martin Truex Jr. finished fourth in his 500th career Cup Series start, but recorded a race-high 52 points.
Brad Keselowski led the most laps, out front for 67 of them, but finished 19th at his home-track. Jimmie Johnson limped to a 34th-place finish and now sits 18th in points.
