After 15 days of traveling around thru 6 different states I am glad to say I am home again!
I drove 4372 miles between Las Vegas, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas. In Arkansas I picked up a family member to bring her back to Las Vegas to start a new Chapter in her life, we both then traveled across most of Arkansas, Oklahoma, back thru Texas, New Mexico , Arizona and then back home.
While I was in Texas I traveled with friends in their motor home for another 768 miles between their house in Cypress, TX to South Padre Island, TX then to Corpus Christi, TX and then back to their house.
I also was able to catch not 1 but 2 HEMLOCK show while in Texas!
I think I am good on road trips for now.. well at least until the next one.

Well I raced this past weekend. It was my 4th XTERRA (1 mile swim, 25K mountain bike, 10K trail run), and although there’s not a picture of me on the podium, this is still one for the books. Why? Because failure is only fuel to the fire. 🔥 •
Everyone has to have at least one flat tire in their race portfolio. 😆 Well, this weekend was mine. I made a bad decision to not bring supplies for a flat and with 3 miles left on the course, the tire gave out. I was feeling strong, crushing the descent, when it happened. I watched as everyone who I had just passed, passed me. 🤦🏼♀️
I had a choice to take the shortest way back, head held low, or throw my bike over my shoulder and run the rest of the course to the transition to put on my running shoes and finish the race, head held high...I chose the latter. ✊
What was going through my head during this race? “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” - Martin Luther King Jr. 🙏 •
So thankful to my coach, my supporters and dear friends/co-racers who were there, the volunteers, the XTERRA family, and my local shop family @coloradomultisport 🙌
I can only hope that my attitude and my decision to not give up inspires just one person...because it’s not just the podium finishes that can fuel one’s fire. First or last, just keep moving...and keep loving every moment of the journey and always, always be sure you’re having a blast, even during the failures! 🏊🏻♀️🚵🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️

Another national park checked off the list! Two years ago, I looked at this one on the map and thought, "Wow, that's pretty far up there. I'll probably never make it up to see Acadia...". You just never know, do you?

I invite everyone to view my latest vlog on how I used a 10 stop ND filter to take this photo. The link is in my bio. I really like how using a 10 stop ND filter smoothed out the water and brought a sense of movement in the clouds. I am definitely going to be doing this type of photography again.
The @modern_samurai_project Black Belt Patch Standard drill might be one of the most humbling drills out there. It has exposed the deficiencies in my draw and I’m determined to fix that. These par times are next to impossible to hit without a clean, perfect draw. Although I’m running this OWB, it’s supposed to be ran from concealment... I will clean this drill at least a brown belt level by the end of the year, the details on this drill are below. Give it a shot!
1. 3&2 Drill. 3 yards. 3 shots to the COM Alpha then transition to 2 rounds on a 3x5 card in the head box. Par is 2.0 seconds.
2. 1 Shot Drill @ 7 yards. 1 shot to COM Alpha. Par is 1.0 second.
3. Bill Drill. 7 yards. 6 shots to COM Alpha. Par is 2.0 seconds.
4. 1 Shot Drill @ 25 yards. 1 shot to COM Alpha. Par is 1.5 seconds

Cotton candy clouds never get old.
Neither does this little slice of heaven. What does "your place" look like? Everytime we head north, I can physically feel myself start to unwind. My worries start to lessen and my love seems to deepen. I love me some ocean, but these mountain roots run pretty deep. 💜🧡💙
Did you go exploring this weekend? If so, where did you go? We were dreaming of being somewhere like this while working 😂

Hello team! I’m back! 🦊💚
After taking over a month off social media am feeling ready for the next few hectic months coming up! I hadn’t stopped from December to June jumping from series to series in really high pressure environments with high responsibility and could feel a burnout looming! Taking a break from social media is always the best thing you can do and it’s been so lovely to spend time with friends! You should always listen to your brain and body! And when you start putting toilet roll in the fridge because your brain is struggling to compute daily tasks you know it’s time to reassess the work load! (True story! And one I’m not living down! 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣) The next few months are going to be full on with big edit deadlines, filming jobs, talks and a massive charity walk, so a break was needed 👣💚
THANK YOU to every single one of you that has messaged me asking where I’d gone and if I’m ok! You are all wonderful☺️ thank you! 🦊 I have been having a lovely time with my best ones!
Hope you are all having the BEST summer so far (or winter wherever you are in the world! 😂) and am very much looking forward to the next few crazy months! 🥰🦊💚
Havana has this amazingly wonderful energy where you can literally walk outside, have no itinerary, and still having a great time. On our first day here, We had a couple of Hemingway approved moijitos, chatted with the musicians about the music culture in havana( apparently there’s a huge underground scene!), and then realized we had no clue how to get back to our homestay. Luckily we had an address and directions from super friendly locals :)
✶You can only get WiFi in designated WiFi parks. And you would need to buy a 1 hour WiFi card for $2 which you can get from someone shouting “WiFi” at the areas! We mostly did without WiFi except..
✶You should definitely download an offline map of Cuba so you won’t get lost! Also a google Spanish translator helps a lot

Land & Sea & @davebrosha
Land & See 2019 is an incredible workshop hosted by @davebrosha & his family at their home on Prince Edward Island. I was asked to be a speaker this year which always fills me with mixed emotions: Honoured to be asked but also nervous that I would be able to overcome my nerves at being on the ‘wrong’ side of the camera & in front of many eyes, quite probably unable to express myself verbally due to stage fright.
From the first moment I was made to feel welcome by both mentors & participants alike! I was unprepared for the depth & emotional impact of the speakers & their work! Dave had chosen a breadth of speakers that crossed genres, opened eyes & broke down boundaries. It was an honour to meet them all & the participants alike.
If you have a chance to get to Land & See 2020 I would highly recommend it!

Pro life tip: always notice the little things, even in the biggest landscapes, just like a little blue flower by the trail. 🏔🌸
