Are YOU financially prepared to shell out $67,000-plus annually to cover future long-term nursing home care expenses? If not, perhaps you are expecting Medicaid to cover the cost of your long-term care needs?Better think twice. Here's why:
Annual costs for this program are growing exponentially. In fact, Medicaid expenditures now account for the FIFTH largest budget item behind Social Security, defense, debt service and Medicare.
In an effort to control costs, Congress passed a bill in February 2006 that makes it harder to qualify for Medicaid.
The purpose of this legislation is to keep people from cheating the system.
Here are a few of the law’s provisions: Home equity disqualification Medicaid won’t cover nursing home care for those with home equity in excess of $500,000. Extended look-back period In the past, you could reduce your assets by gifting them to your loved ones. 2. Roof damage or if you have an older home with older roof.
3. Multiple claims.
4. Living in a high risk area.
5. If you have pets not included on their contract list.
6. If you are not paying your premiums.
7. Record of bad credit.
The back seat is the best. It is the safest place to ride for all children under age 13. Not all cars allow for a car seat in every place that has a seat belt. Check your car owner manual to see where you can put a car seat.
Be wary of toys in the car. Choose toys that are soft and will not hurt your child in a crash. Secure any loose objects in the car.
Wear your seat belt. We know that when adults wear seat belts, kids wear seat belts. So be a good example and buckle up for every ride. Be sure everyone in the vehicle buckles up, too.
Never leave your child alone in a car, even for a minute. 📞 Call us at: 876-926-1720 to find out how

If you're ever caught in a hail storm while driving, (1) Keep your car angled so the hail is hitting the front of your car. Windshields are reinforced to withstand forward driving and pelting objects. (2) Stop driving and pull to a safe place so hail doesn't break any windows or the windshield. (3) Stay inside the vehicle. (4) Lie down if possible and keep your back to the windows. If you have a blanket, cover yourself to prevent possible debris from hitting you.
