Bouquets of musk thistle for the woolies. Sometimes they like them, and sometimes not. Thistles are related to artichokes and even have their own version of little artichoke-like hearts that the sheep love. Bonus is weed control. Speaking of hearts and bouquets... we're closing in on sheep romance season. You could say I'm just helping set the mood 😉
“The hardest part is getting started.” ~ Me
I started my fiber farm about a year and a handful of months ago. Little did I know that it would turn into the entire farm fam I have today. Not only that - I had no idea how to spin yarn....you know, the entire point of my farm? I have no problem admitting that at times...I have more faith than know how.
I am a believer, and I am so glad I am filled with passions that I am willing to put into action. The beautiful scarf that Wally is wearing - my very first ever hand spun yarn!!! The second cool part - that yarn is 100% Gladys! The one sheep on the farm that is still shy and does not let me touch her as much as the rest. I lovingly held parts of her and turned it into this!!! Certainly not perfect - it never will be...however I am very proud to show you my first try.
How did I learn? A follower - just like you - stepped forward and asked to visit the farm and in return she taught me how to spin....that is humanity. That is a wonderful human. That is someone I am now happy to call a friend.
What dream do you need to get started on?
