With the season getting close all I can think about is the amazing year me and the family had last year. It started with a opening weekend public land wma buck followed by my 10yr old daughter shooting her first deer with a bow, then she shot her first buck with her rifle. Then my wife killing a doe on a ladies public land hunt and then shooting a great buck off our lease. After that I ended up shooting a awesome buck on my lease and followed that up with another public land buck off piedmont. I also got the invite to take my niece on a hunt and she harvested a big doe. That was a fun filled season that I can only dream of having again this year. All I can say is the Farmers are gearing up and going to get out there and do what we do best! Good luck to all this season, I can’t wait to see what happens. #gahunting#publiclandowner#familytradition#blessed#wearefarmers@georgia_afield
Colby & dog Blake hanging out on the hay bails...The kids had their own 5 acres of alfalfa that they would put up each summer. A storm was on its way so they had to get the hay into the farm before the storm hit ⛈

Answer to our Trivia Tuesday!
D.) Every year
If you said D you are correct! There are new products that come out and your life maybe change a lot in a year. Maybe you got a new roof, did updates in your house, bought a camper, or topper for your pick up. Whatever it may be, before your renewal date comes up you should sit down with your agent to see if you are still covered properly!
Congratulations to softball star Lilli Backes for being selected as the Player of the Week. Backes bats cleanup for the Starr's Mill High School Panthers and averages 10-12 strikeouts/game as a pitcher. She has thrown a combined 29 strikeouts against Whitewater and McIntosh- the two toughest opponents in the region. Congrats Lilli!! #SMPantherPride#wearefarmers#playeroftheweek#timmonihanagency#Softball
Yesterday I had the chance to go check out on of our newest offices.
Mike Walsh planted base out in Goddard and is so excited to grow within the community there. Mike not only has his business there but also lives in Goddard! Talk about staying local!
So if you are in that neighborhood or just passing through Goddard, stop in and say hi to him. He has a pretty awesome coffee machine.
Also, if you know anyone looking for an exciting Customer Service job, he’s looking for someone to step into that role!

Having life insurance coverage can be a generational domino effect, either positively or negatively. Think about this:
Family 1: put off buying life insurance until the cost became unaffordable for their fixed budget. An unexpected accident happens and the primary income provider passed away leaving an income burden for the surviving family. The surviving family depleted their savings and abandon their own financial planning to meet the immediate need. Their children incur substantial debt for education and expenses as a result and are starting off their own lives with an unsustainable financial future.
Family 2: makes life insurance a function of their budget. They take out small “piggy bank” policies for their kids. The amount of their life insurance has been configured in a way that lost income is covered, kids college is covered, mortgage and cars are paid off and there is even money left over and set aside to support the families favorite charitable organization. The surviving family lives in a home that is paid off, the kids get to choose their educational future with unrestrained dreams. Most importantly, they have been afforded the time to grieve their loss and heal as a family.
I talk about this often because it truly is THE MOST important thing that I do. I take it seriously and it is my passion. If I don’t tell every person in my radius the importance of protecting their family with life insurance, I haven’t done my job.
Let’s meet, talk about building life insurance into your budget. Let’s find a starting point and several growth points along the way that make life insurance affordable and scalable. Book an appointment on our social pages or send a PM! We can meet for coffee, have brunch or I can come talk with your entire family next time you are together. #WeAreFarmers#WeAreLIFE#BJSA

It’s a bit quieter out on Hanses Farms this week as the family spends time out at the @bffair being a part of the festivities and showing off their @bf4hwa animals. Who all is attending the fair this week?
Here on Vancouver Island over 95% of the food being consumed is grown off- Island, some of it in other parts of Canada but the majority in the United States or even further across the globe.
This makes our communities incredibly fragile. I believe that where we’re at with the world, it is more important than ever that we grow and support local economies and build food resilience. I grow food because I want to see this happen, for me it’s not just a hobby but it’s activism. Local food is more nutrient-dense, better for the environment, and it keeps us in touch with the source of what sustains us.

My little sister came to visit from Germany! She’s taking some super interesting ecology and biology classes in university right now and I’m excited to learn some cool plant facts from her while she gets to experience the farm life with me and will learn more about the growing side of things :) I couldn’t be more excited to spend 6 weeks with this goof ball. Love you @elinastnbg!
