ALL DOG UNCLES GO TO HEAVEN🌭
Certain ages in your life call for certain questions saved on speed dial. Are you going to get married? are you going to have kids? Are you going to stop being a little puke and grow the fuck up?
Apparently at the age of 27, everyone wants to know if you’re getting a dog. And honestly, I have no desire to possibly ever own a dog. Why you ask?
While I might seem that I have a few things together, I still have a lot of shit to sort out. Piecing two days in a row at the gym together, or spending my last $13 to buy a bottle of wine for supper sometimes seems like all I’m capable of. But maybe I’m selfish, but that’s fine by me.
Luckily for me, all my friends are getting dogs FUCK YA. While I secretly think that they’re all idiots, now I have 1,000 floofs in my life, and more specifically, only when I want to see them.
Call me heartless, bitches. But having shitless floors and flawless furniture is TACTICAL.
Now accepting dog models. Paid in treats, love, and handing them the fuck back once she’s tired👋🏻

Very Real and Ironic image of a Dragon emerging from the burning skies of Brazil #amazonfire Aug 2019
The Amazon Rain forest is the Most Bio diverse place on the planet.
One in ten known species in the world lives in the Amazon rainforest. This constitutes the largest collection of living plants and animal species in the world.
Possible WIPEOUT by selfish Humans YESS !
The region is home to about 2.5 million insect species, tens of thousands of plants, and some 2,000 birds and mammals. To date, at least 40,000 plant species, 2,200 fishes,1,294 birds, 427 mammals, 428 amphibians, and 378 reptiles have been scientifically classified in the region. One in five of all bird species are found in the Amazon rainforest, and one in five of the fish species live in Amazonian rivers and streams. Scientists have described between 96,660 and 128,843 invertebrate species in Brazil alone.
Terrifying to think that the Amazon is the largest rain forest on the planet, creating 20% of the earth’s oxygen, basically the lungs of the world, has been on fire and burning for the last 16 days running, with literally NO media coverage whatsoever! Why? @unitednations who is running your page? Influences??? Where are you when it actually matters????? @cnn@bbc@guardian@forbes#deforestation#climatechange PLEASE REPOST
I picked up a guitar the other day while singing around a campfire. It was the first time in months, maybe even half a year. I don't really know.
It was that familiar and foreign feeling, a closeness and distance with something I once loved. As I pressed into the strings, the pain on my fingers reminded me how disconnected I felt to my guitar.
I never thought I'd feel that way with music. Music saved me when I had no words. It gave me life as I strung together notes and melodies, and many minor chords. It was a source of joy, healing and freedom, when so much of my life felt otherwise.
But this has happened to me before — with sports, after I tore my ACL. It was never quite the same as it used to be. I was never quite the jock I used to be.
It's fascinating to see the ways our identities and passions move in fluid and unexpected ways. Some seasons it's everything you breathe. Other times, you can't remember the last time you picked up a guitar or told someone you're a musician. If I don't play any more, am I still a musician?
I'm no longer the person in this photo who played music every day and painted her nails, so she didn't look "that gay." But I long to connect with her again, that piece that couldn't live without playing her guitar or piano. She won't be as good, but the muscle memory has never left her fingers.
What are the passions and parts of yourself you rarely connect with these days?

💚 MOTHER EARTH NEEDS OUR HELP 💚
Like you, I am both horrified and heartbroken watching how one of Earth's most important lungs, the Amazonia, is burning without control. I am a true believer in sending energies, prayers and good vibes, but our current times are requesting further action beyond our good intentions.
How can I make a difference?
🌟 First and foremost, become aware of your consumption habits - reduce plastic as much as possible, choose local varieties and producers (less carbon footprint + promote seasonal products), recycle as much as you can + repair instead of buying new. Choose organic when available (less chemicals used during their harvesting - better for you and the environment)
🌟 Reduce your carbon footprint - if you are like me, a world traveller, sometimes it's hard to find an alternative to fly - I try to travel on public transport as much as I can but it it's not available, then I offset my carbon footprint donating back to environmental charities (or even some airlines have that option in the check out section, such as @britishairways)
🌟 Reduce your animal product consumption - besides ethical reasons (hello I'm vegan!), did you know the amount of water and food that feeding an animal needs vs the amount of food in return? It's not just sustainable - plus the conditions those animals are treated - most of them don't see natural light during their lives - plus it's healthier! less contaminants and toxins to your body + how cute are wild animals!
🌟 Join your social community - movements such as @extinctionrebellion@greenpeace and so many more have been raising awareness for years and are a great way to mobilise and make our actions count. This is one of the reasons I am collaborating with @bylinefestival this weekend leading a workshop on Regenerative Culture - it's for us but also for out planet, where we all come from - without it, we can't exist!

By now many of you have seen on your timelines endless posts (some images are accurate and others are inaccurate or outdated) regarding what is happening to the amazon rainforest, an area of the world responsible for 20% of all of our oxygen. It’s no secret this not only affects the native eco-system and the homes to hundreds of indigenous tribes, but it has an impact on all of all us across the globe. Illegal and legal human activity related to deforestation is the cause of these latest rounds of fires. Why are they doing it? Ultimately to transform the land for animal agriculture use. How come? Because of the demand for meat. Human activity is also the cause of climate change, the single biggest issue humanity is facing and relies heavily on the Amazon to help fight. What does this all mean? As the Amazon and other forests are destroyed, climate change will accelerate. What can we do to fight this madness? In addition to @-ing politicians, influential leaders and more, we all can @ ourselves by critically looking at our own lifestyle choices that we are all responsible for and understand how they impact the climate. I’m no saint, my lifestyle choices has had and still have impact on climate change. This is why it’s critical for none of us to judge each other aggressively but for us to educate, unite and do our best to reduce our own carbon footprint and promote solutions. What does this all mean? Our diets.. our shopping habits.. our jet-setting traveling and more is all contributors to climate change. Being vegan is simply not enough. It’s certainly one of the singles most effective things we can do to fight against climate change but there are other critical steps to consider. (Continued in the comments below)

"I truly believe the only way we can create global peace is through not only educating our minds, but our hearts and our souls / I raise up my voice not so that I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard.”
Malala is currently the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner for her struggle against the suppression of children's rights to an education; I am blown away by the mindset and purpose she seems to have been born with. Malala overcame an attempt on her life and was taken from her home for standing up for her rights as a human, she is truly a hero in my eyes! 🌏

How do you practice self-love?
I’ve been preaching a lot about standing up for what’s right. Fighting against racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. While we should all be fighting for what we believe in, how do you fight for yourself?
How do you calm your anxiety? How do you find peace?
.. for me it’s a lot of meditation, marijuana, yoga, the support of my amazing friends and family, and finding time just to sit and be. It’s so important to make that time for yourself, even through the rush of life and deadlines. Because we are far from alone in our daily struggles, and mental health awareness is super important.
With that being said. I love you and I support you, whoever and wherever you are, I’m here. 💕✨🤗

"You do not have to be me in order for us to fight alongside each other. I do not have to be you to recognize that our wars are the same. What we must do is commit ourselves to some future that can include each other and to work toward that future with the particular strengths of our individual identities. And in order for us to do this, we must allow each other our differences at the same time as we recognize our sameness.” – Audre Lorde
August 22 is Black Women's Equal Pay Day, showing how far into 2019 black women must work to earn what white men made in 2018. That's 9 extra months! Even worse, the gap has widened since last year. Black women disproportionately are heads of households, they make up the largest group of minority women-owned businesses, and they're a key voting bloc with one of the biggest voter turnouts — when you lift up black women, you lift up entire communities. They are phenomenal, and they deserve equal pay! Tee benefits the Black Futures Lab.
At the end of each flow I sanitise my menstrual cup to keep it clean and my body free from infection. In between uses I keep it in a cotton bag to ensure it’s uncontaminated and ready for my next flow. Whilst I rinse it every time I empty and reinsert it, sanitising it is also really important. Our vaginas are highly intelligent (did you know they self-clean?) and we don’t want to be using anything that can upset their natural balance. Sanitisation is simple, only takes a few minutes and can be part of your zero-waste routine.
Here’s how I sanitise my cup:
1. add cup to saucepan
2. sprinkle with bicarbonate of soda
3. pour in enough boiling water to cover
4. let boil for 3-5 minutes
Note: the bicarb will help lift some of the stains but staining is natural and your cup will change colour with each use. It’s natural and normal.
