I need this flaky, crunchy, creamy savory cheese pie from Athens in my face right NOW.🥖🧀🥖 Looking for inspiration and one of my methods is to revisit my food travels. Something inspired by this beauty has to fit into an entree or salad course somehow. Definitely gotta master it in itself as an hors d'oeuvre. 🧐🤓😍 #cheesepie#athens#greece#athensfood#greekfood

Action shots from the 10th annual Tri to Beat Cancer on Sunday morning. I loved photographing this event, but to be honest, I’d love it even more if I was out competing on the course! Maybe it’s time to invest in a tri suit ... 🤔
One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen was the sky during a storm, at night, while on a plane.
We glide through the sky and I see the lit up land below, the flickering bolts off in the distance. The dark clouds are below and adjacent, the stars are above placed majestically... There is a rumble of slight turbulence just enough to keep you awake but relaxing and gentle enough to rock you to sleep.. euphoric...
The beauty of it all made me cry. Literally tears flowed as I took in the view. It feels like going through another dimension as we casually zoom in and out of the thick clouds. I’m gliding above millions of lives and gazing at specs that decorate the floor of my vision. It’s the most humbling experience and strangely calming. Some things are so breathtaking that to try to capture it in an image outside of your mind would be to do it injustice. It’s like having a vision of what you want to have happen in your life and accepting the fact that when you share it, no one would see it the way that you do... it’s oddly satisfying and sad at the same time because you want all people to experience the euphoric vibe but then again having it all to yourself makes you feel so special. It’s moments like this that give hope... moments like this that give insight as to how you can experience the shitty hand that others deal to you and yet find beauty in troubling circumstance. It carries you over the stormy clouds and dangerous lightning bolts... fly high Global Lion... fly high. #globallion#travel#traveler#wanderlust#summeringreece#worldcitizen#nomad#greece#live#life#peace#athens#vibe#blackgirlmagic#brownskingirls#global#lion#leoseason#worldwidetravel#world

Roads are one of the most common amphibians we see in Georgia.
There are several species of toad found in Georgia, and they all look very similar! This is most likely a Fowler’s Toad, which is most easily distinguished by a creamy underside with a single large dark spot! (Unfortunately this is not a 100% ID, because this guy didn’t want to pose very well!)
Fowler’s Toads love to eat insects, and are a large part of the food chain for snakes and some birds.
The warts on these toads can secrete nasty chemicals that are toxic, and they can even kill small mammals!
Their best defense is good camouflage, and as you can tell from this picture, their coloration blends perfectly with their environment!
Spotted at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia, Athens, Georgia.
