This Friday, we head into the year 1946. Following the end of the war people expected a better life than before war years with the Great Depression causing poverty and destruction worldwide. However there were major job and housing shortages for those returning from war. The start of the baby boom happened as couples began marrying and having children. Many American classics debuted this year including film It's a Wonderful Life, and the song “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah." Lastly, the first #CannesFilmFestival takes place in Cannes, France. This annual film festival previews new films of all genres, including documentaries from all around the world. Learn more about our U.S. History by helping us celebrate our 100th Year Anniversary this year!
Got this big ass Honda repair finished up yesterday. Sometimes these bigger jobs feel like they are never going to end but the best way to get them done is just stay focused on them for a few days. I understand why guys like to use these big jobs as filler work and bounce between other repairs as well but that just causes them to drag on, get more aggravating and take much longer then it should. Easier said then done sometimes but staying on them is the best way to go.
While we all head to the nearest beach to escape the heat, swimmers should keep safety precautions in mind! According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, 74% of drowning incidents for children younger than 15 between 2015 and 2017 occurred in residential locations. Practice water safety with your family and friends this summer! #ThinkSafe
Using keys to pull out the quarter panel on this Tesla Model 3! I couldn’t quite get a hard enough pull to get it all the way out with keys but it got it pretty damn close. This system works great for certain situations.

“Hey BlueCollarKyle I am struggling with my straightening work, do you have any tips?” The key to straightening a panel is focus on your metal work! The better your metal work the easier the fill work goes! It might seam like it’s easier to just wipe some bondo on there and cave and pave but this is counter productive and also just the wrong way to do it. Spending more time on your metal work will actually get the job done faster as well and be a much better repair.

So I have gotten lots of requests for a video replacing a roof skin but unless a hail storm comes through we don’t see many roofs get damaged. Today I finally got the opportunity to replace the roof on a Chevy Trax! Be sure to go watch the full video of today’s episode on my Facebook page @ BlueCollarKyle

Whenever you have a tough bodyline try taping each side and sanding up to the tape. It works fantastic... check out how it’s done!
