Twoguys1grill version of the @biggreenegg eggspander...
Nate:”this’ll work just the same”
That’s a 16.5lb brisket, couple racks of some baby back ribs, and some ballpark beef franks, yes, I said beef franks... we keeps it classy! seasoned with Nate’s patented rub.... side note, don’t confuse the 16.5 lbs of meat with the 16.5 hours it took to smoke it!! #dontsleeponthemeat#2guys1grill#eggheads
Done & served... What an adventure...getting the #BigGreenEgg fired up early to make a couple of Terry Rogers Chipotle Corn Bread when a bolt of lightning made me jump it was so close pulling a tendon in my calf... Anyways did each on separately & now onto a Portuguese style spatchcock chicken

Throwing it back to my spare ribs cook from July 4th with homemade bourbon BBQ sauce. Enjoy this post and the sauce recipe!
I made a new bourbon BBQ sauce to glaze my smoked spare ribs with. You may be asking yourself... can he shows us how to smoke ribs AND make a homemade sauce in 60 seconds?!? Watch and see!
2 cups ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup yellow onion chopped
1 cup bourbon (divided to ¼ and ¾ portions)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
Salt & Pepper to taste
Heat a medium sauce pan over a medium heat. Add olive oil.
Add onion and garlic, let cook for 2 minutes or so until fragrant and slightly browned (stir constantly).
Add ¾ cup of bourbon and cook until absorbed.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix thoroughly and bring to a slight boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Using a hand mixer, blender or food processor blend the sauce until smooth consistency.
Happy July 4th everyone! I hope your day is packed with good food, friends, and family 🍻

All @lodgecastiron everything. You know when I go camping I'm breaking out the cast iron.
I was grilling these burgers on the @lodgecastiron Sportsman grill and I needed to melt some cheese. I had to break out the big pan for this job and it worked perfectly!!
Who wants one?
