Although I fully innerstand the importance of starting my day properly, I also believe that with enough willpower and practice you can absolutely change the direction your day is going. Like not temporarily but completely change everything & continue down that path without disruption. 💫

This mornings writings brought more crazy ideas. Yesterday was the last day of the Bear Creek Music Festival and needless to say very inspiring.
I’ve been thinking about what I love and how do I connect that to my art? I L•O•V•E music so why not do some album covers? YES!!! T-shirts? YES!!! I met some amazing artists yesterday and found new music to listen to. Gotta day that as I was sitting there listening to them play that I imagined my son up there. Go Danny @dephoto3000 !
I’m half way through my “love project” for August and already dreaming about my next one! Thanks to those who took a moment to view and comment on my pieces and to those who purchased pieces. The completed ones are up in the shop and I will continue creating a “love block” each day in August so there’s more to come!

#mindfulness is the practice of awareness without judgement or correction
A very simple mindfulness activity is awareness of breath. An average adult takes 10-15 breaths per minute. That’s around 18,000 breaths per day.
Pay attention to a few of these breaths.
Are they fast or slow?
Deep or shallow?
What is the temperature of the air?
Mindfulness takes only a few moments and can have a tremendous impact on your emotional health.
You don’t have to have left school with ten grade A* to attempt to change the 🌍. It doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, pick yourself up, you are capable of creating something incredible no matter who you are and what you have been through 💚

Nothing else matters 💚
This week I broke my leg and have not been able to walk easily with splint and crutches. A reminder to be grateful for my (normally) completely able body. However, we don’t have to lose mobility in order to realize how awesome it is to walk. We do not have to lack or be without in order to give thanks. We don’t need to lose something in order to understand that gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
Appreciation is the highest form of prayer, for it acknowledges the presence of good wherever you shine the light of your thankful thoughts.
No matter the situation, we can always find something for which we are grateful. It is most often when we work too hard, or stretch ourselves too thin that we tend to feel impoverished. In those moments of stress, breathe. And—if nothing else—remember to be grateful that you were chosen to be alive today! #gratefulheart ❀ #breathe ❀ #appreciation ❀
