The Huncho Sports Updates Power Rankings for the 2019-20 NBA Season continues with the Cleveland Cavaliers at #26 .
My Opinion: This team is what we expected in the post-LeBron era. They’re focused on building around their young talent and trying move those bad contracts LeGM gave to J.R., Love, and Tristan Thompson. They’ve already taken J.R. off the books, and rumors suggest that Kevin Love is next. Love averaged 17 and 10 last season, he’s still very capable of being a vital piece to a championship team. I love the experiment this team is going to try with a Garland-Sexton backcourt, they’re trying to have the Lillard-McCollum backcourt of the East, how that’ll work out is yet to be determined. Nance is going to be a great 6th man this season, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Nance starts over Thompson sometime this season. Osman has progressed really well, he has potential to average around 20 PPG next season, and this kid has heart. He’s a competitor. I really don’t expect much from this team this season, they just need to move Love, make sure Garland comes back 100%, and continue to progress Sexton and Osman.
Team MVP: Kevin Love
X-Factor: Cedí Osman
Projected Record: 31-51
