This cave in Alicia, Bohol defied my expectation. Being the 30th guest is so underrated since it opened. Its colossal stalagmites and stalactites will leave you wondering, albeit I’ve seen alot before, this subterranean system has created these humungous artistic pieces in the darkest portion of the earth. While the trek inside can take as only as 15 minutes through the end of the allowed territory( excluding your vanity for photos), it is not a walk in the park. There will be walking in cliffs, fitting in-between narrow stones and crossing towards slippery bamboo bridges. There is a thrill to it and the guides are trustworthy (they are both female). There are uncharted parts, that’s for certain, and the journey is just a glimpse of the whole system. If youre not afraid of the dark, this one is promising!
Caving - exploring a cave is an activity that is hard to explain and still make people want to try it. Cold, wet, slippery, rocky, dusty, dark, muddy, tight squeezes... so much fun! #cavingadventures#summer19#wheredoyouwanttogo

Looking down one side of an adit splitting into two in underground slate workings. One had a remaining tramway, this did not except some pieces left.

One time, a caver fell in the mud. 🤦♀️ #cavingadventures#adventure #cave#caving#tag#climbing#summeradventures#exploring #outdooradventures#ourdoorexploring#cavestagram 👉So far, I've seen 5 caves and zero bats. I always associated caves and bats, but as I've learned more about caving, I learned that white nose syndrome is a big problem for the bats in my area. It wakes bats up from their hibernation in the middle of winter, when there is no bugs to eat (which effectively starves the bats). In some caves, it has killed 90-100% of the bats. All of this information made me realize how fragile some ecosystems are and why it's very important to be mindful of your gear while caving.🦇
Did some caving this weekend too! Some of these formations are ancient... thousands of years old..super cool to see the crystal formations and so much water flowing through the cave too! 😲 I prefer to be up high OUTSIDE but it was really cool to see the underside of the bedrock and learn that there are about 300 known caves in Sequoia and Kings Cyn NP .... wow! 😱 #thehealinghiker#hikingadventures#cavingadventures#explorecalifornia#justgo
“You know,” he said, “I wish you could see this cave.” “What’s it like?” He paused.
“It’s...beautiful, really.” “Tell me.”
And so Po described to Katsa what hid in the blackness of the cave; and outside, the world awaited them.

Oh, did you think we were only releasing one kind of bootlamp on Friday? Nope! In addition to the SneakyHunter Bootlamps, a necessity for every big game hunter, we are releasing our Hikers Bootlamps! Hikers Bootlamps are great for anyone who likes hiking, climbing or mountaineering!
Incredible. Went on a 4-day Son Doong Cave Expedition to explore the world’s largest cave... in Vietnam! These pictures don’t do it justice at all. Great times with a super cool crew and special thanks to my stepdad (@boyer.guy) for organizing and killing it on the trekking, hiking, walking, climbing, camping, mountaineering, rope-climbing, rappelling, river-crossing, jungling, etc. #sondoong#vietnam#cavingadventures#campingadventures#ididntshowerforthreedays
