My favourite thing about airports, besides going on a trip, is that it is always beer o'clock! I am quite anxious about missing a flight so I always arrive very early and end up waiting a looong time. On my flight from Australia to New Zealand I had to wait 2 hours because I thought customs would take longer. I do really enjoy watching people on airports so I didn't really mind. I love to find a spot near a window and enjoy a beer with a view! Some airports have a lot of beer options and some just have a few (this reminds me, last year I actually drank beer from plastic cups purchased at McDonalds at the airport of Tenerife, crazy). Anyway! This is the Carlton Dry. I thought it was veeery sweet, not my favourite but the sunset made up for that. 🍻

• 45ml/1.5oz Blended Aged Rum (1731: British West Indies)
• 22ml/.75oz Giffard Banane Du Brésil
• 15ml/.5oz Mezcal (Los Fuertes Tobala)
• 7ml/.25oz Absinthe
• 2d Grapefruit Bitters
Stir / Strain Up / Garnish / Enjoy!
When it comes to choosing drinks for my #TributeToTheGram series 😘 I always wonder whether to pick a drink that almost has a signature feel of the person, or pick a drink that stands out in a less expected way🤷.
When I think of (sheepish) Jen Erickson 🐑 I expect moody and dark cocktails, often consisting of many obscure, bitter, ingredients...🥃 And then there was her 'WTF': a three ingredient drink, based on 1.5 shot Mezcal Espadin, 1 shot Giffard Banane and .5 shot Absinthe.🙃 It literally left me with a 'WTF?' seeing it came from her.
But the very same day I recreated it, and dang, it was good!😍 Yet, I couldn't help playing with it! I took some Rum, Grapefruit Bitters, a more grassy rather than smoky Mezcal and created this riff.🍹 Less bold, a bit more playful, but 100% a tribute to Jen and her rabbithole creations! 💞 Drinkstagram, who else should I feature in this series?!

Siguiendo el consejo de @byrrhmania66👏 para el aoeritivo tomamos la bebida Byrrh con tónica en proporción de 1 a 4 con un corte de limón 🍋. Muy buena !!! El Byrrh es una bebida dulce con un ligero final entre amargo y picante. No es un vermut al no tener ajenjo pero si una dosis de quina que lo hace característico. 1½ oz Silver Tequila
¾ oz Aperol
¼ oz Maraschino
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
Add all ingredients to a shaking tin and then add pebble ice, shake and open pour into a highball glass, top with more ice and garnish.
For summer daytime parties, I like to lengthen a cocktail by serving it in a highball on crushed ice, rather than up. It stays colder and allows the guests to sip and enjoy it longer.

Name: 80’s Glam
2 oz @unclevals ⠀
1 oz Passionfruit Juice ⠀
.50 oz Fresh Lime ⠀
.50 Lavender Syrup ⠀
1 oz Egg Whites
Combine all ingredients into tin and dry shake (no ice) for 10 seconds to froth the foam. Add in a few cubes and whip shake for 5 seconds. Double strain into a coup glass and garnish with edible glitter.

A double brew day means Sunday fun day and day drinking. First up is Curiosity Sixty Six, a DIPA from @treehousebrewco. Plenty of citrus and a little dankness on the nose. Upon the first sip you get pineapple and mango, and herbal spice on the finish. Creamy, juicy and a heavier mouthfeel.
