My favourite flowers this time of year are by far the classic sunflower. Of course these ones I’m holding I bought in a store, next year I am hoping to grow my own in our little garden. I also just love flowers in the house, it brightens up any part of the room and instantly puts me in a good mood 🧡🧡🧡 what is your favourite summer flower?

Instead of trying to fight 🤜🏻🤜🏻against it, our job is to figure out how we can embrace it. 🤲🏻 Because in uncertainty lies also growth, 🥰possibilities, and the life you desire. 💁🏼♀️💁🏼♀️💁🏼♀️.

“Ummm sis, is this natural enough... 🥺” Master Hatchi getting tips from Diva Harlow...it’s been a while since we’ve been in front of a camera, but this was a perfect day to show off some of my latest pieces ✨ (My gummy smile says it all-I missed my monsters so much when I was in Melbourne last week 🥰) Felt like Spring just gate crashed Winter today, so my angora vintage tee was a perfect match.

Does it ever feel like every day is crazy busy 😜 ? For the last couple of weeks it seems like every day has been busy from morning until night. Which is so unlike me. I need some downtime. But I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with my kids and grands and I’ll never turn that down. Spending time with my family is way too precious to pass up!!!
Talk about precious. My hubby got a new truck for work and he has been OVER THE MOON EXCITED 😜!!! He and my oldest daughter made a YouTube video on how he put everything together and it’s really cool - you should go check it out. The link for his channel is in my bio. .

One minute she’s laughing uncontrollably and the next she’s throwing herself on the ground in a puddle of tears. I love this girl more then life itself, but holy smokes, she’s keeping me on my toes these days! .
You guys, I may never go back to skinny jeans again! I have been so comfortable all day. I scooped these up at Winners last week and they have the cutest scrunched up elastic bottoms👌🏻
I don’t think I’ve ever had an actual personal style but if anything it would be comfy casual. Is that a thing? It’s always a stretch for me to grab something patterned or a fabric other than cotton. I looked at the cutest jumpsuits and dresses today and just couldn’t justify buying anything🤷🏼♀️
I got giant sham pillows for our bed instead 😴and a 2019/2020 planner with a pretty floral cover🌺 #typical Now I’m back at Starbucks for my last work hour today. I’m looking forward to a day of rest with Collin and the kiddos tomorrow🌤
Happy Sunday 🌞 Need something to calm your stresses of the week? Neroli oil helps to soothe anxiety and sleep disorders and promotes the feeling of inner peace.

Sometimes the good life is happening right where you are. You have to comb through the messy, chaotic, busy to see it. It is right there in front of you. It is not in the days, weeks, months ahead of you because none of that is guaranteed.
The good life is in your 2 year old wanting to ride his bike to the park 1 mile away for the first time.
The good life is holding hands with your husband and pretending your on a evening stroll by yourselves while walking behind your son.
The good life is carrying said bike home while your husband carried Eli and his stick due to one worn out boy from playing chase with his momma on the playground.
It is not always the elaborate date nights, fancy vacations, or brand new car. The good life is all about your perspective. Choosing joy, love, and to have fun no matter what. I hope you enjoyed some of the good life this weekend.

Yesterday marked one month until I begin my medical school journey! Ahhhh! Being sure to soak up every minute of this in-between time. 🌼
Underrated Skincare Products.
The Fourth Ray Beauty Matcha Face Milk is such an interesting product - it is incredibly moisturizing yet has a lightweight, silky and milky consistency. This is a really good option if you're someone who doesn't like the heaviness or oiliness of facial oils but still wants the moisturizing benefits of facial oils. This face milk leaves my skin feeling super soft.
The Cosrx Lock in the Moisture Stick is also a cool product. Skincare products that come in stick form are a little weird to use at first but I soon got used to it. This stick is incredibly cooling and hydrating. It leaves a slippery and slightly tacky feeling on the skin but it does a brilliant job at relieving dryness/dry patches. I have two dry patches on my face and makeup looks cakey and patchy on top of them. But this little stick solves the problem with one application. I don't know if this product provides long-term hydration but I think it's a nifty product to have when my skin is dry and/or flaky. It's also lovely to use this around my eye area when my eyes are tired or need a little pick-me-up.

I was excited to hear that Colourpop is releasing cream blush and highlighter stix so I purchased the Rose to the Top set from their website.
I've only used one shade from the set - a Blush Stix called Roosevelt - because it's the only shade that appealed to me. So far, I'm a little on the fence about the formula. It's a beautiful rose-brown shade that's quite sheer (so it needs around 2 to 3 layers to show up on my skin tone). This blush is also not very creamy and, as a result, almost impossible to apply directly onto the skin. If applied directly onto the skin or if applied using a damp sponge, the application process will move around the foundation and/or concealer underneath. So I found that the best way to apply this cream blush is to apply some onto the back of my hand and lightly tap it onto my cheeks with my fingers. This isn't the most ideal technique but it's the only one that works well.
Also, this product is slightly tacky on the skin after application and it has a dewy/glowy finish. I find that the wear-time is decent (around 8 - 9 hours with some fading) but not as good as powder blushes. In essence, Roosevelt is not the easiest to apply and there are other, less high maintenance cream blushes so I'm a little hesitant to recommend this new CP product. I'll post an updated review once I've tried the product out for longer.
Have you tried any of these blush/highlighter stix? Do you plan to? Comment down below! #burgundyxcolourpop

Skincare & Makeup Reviews: Samples.
The Glossier Priming Moisturiser is a super hyped up product and I'm a little on the fence about it. It's nourishing without being too thick and heavy, decently hydrating and it leaves my skin feeling smooth and velvety (perfect to use underneath makeup). Despite this, this product is overhyped and overpriced: it's good but not worth raving about. I probably won't purchase a full size.
The MAC Prep and Prime Natural Radiance Base is quite a disappointing product. It's lightweight (almost a gel-cream) and hydrating on the skin but it doesn't really add a glow or radiance to the skin and neither does it prolong the wear of my makeup. I won't purchase a full size.
The Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Bronze is a great foundation - medium to full coverage, easy to blend, and lasts pretty long (even on my super oily skin). However, the biggest drawbacks are the price of a full size bottle (around R600) and the fact that it can look a little cakey on my skin if I try to build the coverage. Also, I tested this against my Catrice HD Foundation and the Catrice is very very similar to DW (but not as long lasting). I might purchase a full size in the future but, for now, I'm happy with my Catrice foundation.

My 6th trip visiting Kauai and I’m just in love! It’s refreshing and GORGEOUS... everywhere you look?! Oh my! My favorite place on earth is in the ocean, especially here where it’s warm and refreshing, I could be in for hours. Lil Hannie doesn’t feel like her life is that big when she’s swimming in a giant ocean and can’t see the end. It makes me feel like I don’t need to be so overwhelmed with everything I’ve been through and am going through. Makes me feel like I can breath in there and it takes away my stress. I love it so much! How many of you love being in or too scary?!
Love being here in Santa Barbara with these pretty ladies. One more day until our sweet Jenna is MARRIED! 💍🌿💛 #TogetherowForeverow

This man here is my whole world.
He’s funny, supportive, kind and my partner for life. He truly is the other half! .
I’ve been feeling the need for a name change for a while. This isn’t really just a feed about our three little; I’ve slowly been switching gears. I want to focus more on fashion, beauty and all the fun and crazy moments I experience as a mama of three. Cause we all know that shit gets CRAZY!!!
With that being said; I wanna welcome you to the new name, @pinkieandthebeard
This fun name came to me one afternoon while Steve and I were on a car rally. Someone asked me, “so which guy is yours?” I responded with, “The Beard.”
It funny cause someone had asked Steve that same question.
“which lady is yours?” His response was “Pinkie.” It’s kinda stuck ever since and now most of our friends refer to us as, Pinkie and the Beard. .
So I figured this one suits us and all our crazy, quirkiness. I truly do hope you enjoy following along our journey as we navigate this crazy life. .
