THANK YOU Danielle & Dan of #OrioleAutomotive They just took a DRIVE #workshop -here’s what Danielle says: “Hey friends! It’s Danielle, I’m the office manager and that’s my dad Dan the owner of Oriole Automotive in a small town called #Quincy in #Michigan . We just signed up with Drive two months ago and this weekend have successfully completed the Essentials of Shop Management 🙌🏻 Had to take a graduation pic after class 😜
What an overload of very helpful information!! When my parents opened the business all they had for a foundation was my dads 16 years at Royal so they could base the business off of what they knew from there. They are self taught but willing to learn from the pros. And one day, I’ll take over to continue to run it successfully. We are eager to get back to the shop and start implementing the things we learned from class. It was also great being along side other shop owners that have the same struggles as us, so we know we’re not alone.” Thank you Danielle and Dan! #autorepair#truckrepair#collisionshop#training#businessconsultant#success
Several factors to measure the purchase of a #paintbooth :
1️⃣ Brightness:the brightness of the paint room needs to reach 800-1000 lux, and the wall inside the room should be matte white.
2️⃣Filter effect:this depends on the type of paint roof cotton, usually very fine dust per square meter should be Less than 5.
3️⃣Wall sealing effect, the paint room must be sealed, and there should be no accumulation of paint dust at the joints.
4️⃣The sealing effect of the heating system should be well sealed around the burner and the chimney, and the putty after burning should not appear.
5️⃣Heating rate:usually the paint room to rise from 20 ° C to 60 ° C , the temperature should be measured in the paint room metal body temperature. If the selected paint booth can meet the above conditions, it is an ideal paint booth.✔️ However, in the process of accumulating over time, there will be many conditions such as poor quality of the paint booth, more dust in the room, poor construction effect, poor lighting effect, and sometimes even better outdoors. ⭕️What I want to say is: In fact, as long as everyone can properly use and maintain the paint booth, these problems can be completely avoided.
I will continue to share the precautions for the paint booth.
Monday morning projects... back to the grind with this Dodge Ram bedside. Unfortunately it got put on hold once I got it cut apart because the inner rear corner piece is actually made different so we are working with our local Dodge dealership to figure out the problem.
So I have gotten lots of requests for a video replacing a roof skin but unless a hail storm comes through we don’t see many roofs get damaged. Today I finally got the opportunity to replace the roof on a Chevy Trax! Be sure to go watch the full video of today’s episode on my Facebook page @ BlueCollarKyle

“Hey BlueCollarKyle I am struggling with my straightening work, do you have any tips?” The key to straightening a panel is focus on your metal work! The better your metal work the easier the fill work goes! It might seam like it’s easier to just wipe some bondo on there and cave and pave but this is counter productive and also just the wrong way to do it. Spending more time on your metal work will actually get the job done faster as well and be a much better repair.

When adjusting the doors on a vehicle, different makes and models will have different amounts of adjustment in the door hinges. Some use shouldered bolts which provide very little movement while others have tons of adjustment in every direction. There are pros and cons to both depending on the situation. In the case of this truck there is tons of movement. Check out how I go about adjusting the new door on this Ford Raptor. Be sure to check out the complete 12min episode of this repair on my Facebook page @ BlueCollarKyle where you will find lots of valuable information!
Using the damaged parts to pull off of is the moral of this story. Even though these parts were getting replaced, I used them to pull off of BEFORE I cut the vehicle apart. The reason for this is that there are parts attached to these damaged parts that are not being replaced but could have shifted some in the accident. If you cut it apart without pulling the damage out there is a good chance you will have trouble getting the new parts to fit because of the other areas that appear undamaged but are shifted slightly from the impact.
