Keulen & Aken Sauterness BA is a 8,6% heffeweizen with a ibu of 21.
Imperial hefeweizen aged on sauternes barrels, released at Borefts Beer Festival 2018.
Not the best version of this beer, the woodford version was much better.
But still a nice one, not much heffeweizen but mostly sweet wine and some herbal notes

So i thought i would start the week off nice and easy. What says nice and easy drinking more than a lovely SIPA (Session IPA)? Last year Crak & Other Half combined do bring us If You Like Double IPA Drink 2 of These, was this years collab as good?
In my opinion, no, it wasn’t as good as last years collaboration. Last years SIPA was very special indeed, thick, hazy and it held a ridiculous amount of flavour for a 4% booze! This is Do They Like Triple IPA and Did They Drink 4 of These, a Session IPA collaboration from @crakbrewery, @otherhalfnyc and @beardediris which weighs in at 3% on the virtually booze free blotto scale! The pour was a real hazy pale yellow, with a resin / orange aroma. In your gob, this is thin and slightly watery, much expected for the ABV. This packed a fair bit of punch on the flavour though! There was a resin base to this which also kicked off a bit of hop burn on the finish, i think for that reason alone it just wasn’t quite the spectacle that last years collab was. This was nice enough though, stupidly easy to drink.

My favourite thing about airports, besides going on a trip, is that it is always beer o'clock! I am quite anxious about missing a flight so I always arrive very early and end up waiting a looong time. On my flight from Australia to New Zealand I had to wait 2 hours because I thought customs would take longer. I do really enjoy watching people on airports so I didn't really mind. I love to find a spot near a window and enjoy a beer with a view! Some airports have a lot of beer options and some just have a few (this reminds me, last year I actually drank beer from plastic cups purchased at McDonalds at the airport of Tenerife, crazy). Anyway! This is the Carlton Dry. I thought it was veeery sweet, not my favourite but the sunset made up for that. 🍻

Godverdomme (Кузькина мать) / Quadrupel, ABV 12% OG 25% коллаборация @konix_brewery 🇷🇺 и @craft_brew_riots 🇷🇺 Алкоголь тут на первых ролях. Все 12 абэвэ без остатка и в аромате и во вкусе. В ноздри сразу врываются пары спирта в перемешку то ли с уксусом, то ли с клеем. Вкус в общем-то действительно отсылает к бельгии, в котором читается курага, чернослив, изюм, немного шоколада. А в конце мы получаем пробирающий спиртовой финиш. Присутствует дрожжевой осадок. Странно, но при такой плотности тело довольно таки жиденькое.
Разочарован, крепачи вроде у Коникс выходят неплохие, а данный экземпляр повторить точно не захочется.
Beer #1 was this super refreshing Saison by @bridgeroadbrewers. The Chinotto Africola Saison pours a pale yellow with a slight cloudiness. It had a slight citrusy aroma from the Chinotto. @reuben_and_thy is more of a Chinotto fan rather than a coke drinker, he’s just that kind of hipster. @michaellaboski is not a fan of Chinotto and was quite wary of this beer. As it turns out the chinotto only adds a subtle bitterness to the beer. It’s over all a very refreshing beer with hints of citrus rind, cloves, spices, and a subtle touch of savoriness. Perfect for a hot summer day bbq.

Another one from the awesome crew down at @pariahbrewingco and this one is an ‘ode to summer’. Let’s just begin with the fact that I don’t believe I’ve ever had an IPA at 6%, but let’s give it a whirl and see what’s what. Pale yellow into the glass, nice and cloudy with head that sets up quickly and disappears even quicker. However, the lacing left behind as the beer is consumed is incredible and coats the entire glass. The nose is fruity and summery with notes of passion fruit, lychee and mangos. Thin to medium bodied in the mouth, slick and clean, this beer is very interesting taste-wise. It’s fruity, but also dank and earthy at the same time. Citrusy up front with limes, lemons, oranges and grapefruit. Also getting a little honeydew and kumquat peel. It’s grassy and dank mid-palate ending with berries and passion fruit on the backend. Fruity, dank and then fruity again... not sure I’ve had anything like this. Crushable and refillable for sure. Like summer in a can. Refreshing and super tasty. Nice job @pariahbrewingco.
