Happy Foliage Friday from this happy Spider Plant.
The Spider Plant aka Airplane Plant is one of the easiest house plants to grow and is known for its super air purifying ability. The name Spider Plant is due to its babies dangling down like spiders on a web and it's tendency to spread out.
Caring for the spider plant is easy.
Well drained soil, bright indirect light and moderate watering(not too dry and not too wet) and it's flourishing.
Hemigraphis alternata also known as Purple Waffle Plant is an attractive plant with peculiar foliage.
The leaves are oval shaped in a green to reddish purple colour with metallic reflections.
It produces white flowers when it blooms.
It thrives under bright indirect light for indoors and partial shade for outdoors.
Direct sunlight can scorch the edges of the leaves and the cool metallic sheen of the leaves may fade.
Moderate watering is required but not overly soaked in water as this can lead to root rot.
How will it feel to have this sit out space in your home?
What will you be found doing here?
Having a cup of tea? Alone with your thoughts or a book? Having an intimate conversation or just simply sitting and taking in the beauty of it all?
Our macrame's are hanging with very beautifully coloured pots, 2 mini tricycles in position, the pretty yellow wall tree & two big clay pots at the entrance.
Did you know humans have an innate desire to connect with nature and the natural environment and this is known as "Biophilia". Exposure to nature is critical in today's world as we tend to spend more time indoors and away from the natural world making us miss out on the benefits that exposure to plants, trees, fresh air etc brings.
. CREATIVE GARDENS BUSHMILLS. 🌻🌼🌹🌷 WHAT AN ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM!
We have been here a couple of times and if you haven't been GO!
When your up north and it starts to bucket down! It's the place to be 😍
As with donaghadee we use our vouchers generally! But today we had arrived at the ramore (as much as we totally love it 😍) after a very busy time in Barry's with no energy left and it was PACKED as usual! With no room for buggies! I just couldn't do it today so we headed here for dinner (open till 8 on a Friday) and not a sole in the play bit!
The kids had a blast it was 💯 less stressful and chilled compared to one of the more popular restaurants!
Rabbit's Foot Fern ❤️💗❤️
What a perfect frond. Ferns can be really beautiful... The decorative fern's distinctive fuzzy rhizomes resemble rabbit feet, giving the fern its name. It produces lacy like fronds attached to thin stems.
Care of Rabbit's Foot Fern includes providing adequate light and moisture.
It likes bright but indirect sunlight as intense sun will burn the fronds and moist soil but do not allow the soil to completely dry out.
A very happy & cheerful Thunbergia. 🙂💜🙂 Thunbergia Erecta also called Bush Clock Vine or Kings Mantle is a perennial vine and shrub which can grow to about 2 metres tall.
It produces beautifully rich purple flowers which add a splash of vibrant colour to any garden.
Thunbergias love moist and well drained soils, full sun but will bloom in partial shade and moderate water.
It grows well in pots (with a trellis attached) , hanging pots or baskets, along fences etc which makes it ideal for parks and gardens, hedges, screening and mixed beds.

These 2 varieties of Aglaonema are available for you @creativegardens.ng
The Aglaonema is a unique plant with full and excellent foliage.
It's a popular houseplant with over 20 varieties having different colours and patterns. They do well indoors and outdoors.
They require indirect filtered light as direct sunlight can scorch it's leaves though the lighter the variegation, the more light it needs.
ELEPHANT EARS CARE :
This plant loves rich well drained soil, daily watering (but not soggy) and partial shade though it can take full sun.
It's a fast grower which can reach 6 feet tall so give it plenty room.
FICUS PLANT CARE :
The Ficus plant loves bright indirect or filtered light, moderate watering (when the top soil is dry).
Mist the leaves periodically to increase humidity around the plant.
Wipe the leaves with a wet cloth at intervals to remove dust by holding the leaf from underneath while you wipe them so they don't tear or rip off.
Prune the branches and leaves when it gets too full. #elephantears#elephantearsplant #ficus#rubberplant#plantcare #pottedplants#creativegardens
Pond plants!🌿The only maintenance required is constant cutting back - these babies love the space they’re in, and they would take over the world if they could... especially the Elephant Ears. They pop out of all the crevices, and I’m pretty sure they’ve burrowed under the liner at this point, but they add so much dimension to the pond. And the bright yellow lilies that pop up all summer long are a real treat!
The plants you choose for your water features can vary based in the amount of water movement. Water lettuces are so nice in a trickling water feature. Duckweed is a menace that will suffocate everything else in your pond but short term can be beautiful.
