Spent all day dreaming about how these will look stained and planted with moss and succulents from the amazing @the_social_succulent . Had the best time building these with @kaiterickson and her crew this weekend for her upcoming wedding! Don’t mind the scissors and snacks, it’s a live action shot 😝. I have already thought of 3 places I can put something like this in my house too 😂😂 Now time to pick the perfect word/phrase for the entry hallway. Any suggestions? .

I get occasional inquiries about which of my patterns is most beginner friendly, and until now my answer has been ‘umm... none of them really, sorry’. I have had brioche beginners knit several of my patterns successfully, but there has been little consensus about which pattern is simplest.
So I’ve been working on something with no brioche increases or decreases and with the simplest edges I can think of. I am quite pleased with the effect so far.
Yarn is @whitegumwool dyed by 24 Mile Hollow (@imogenworden) and is lovely and soft. #squishiestyarnever#beginnerbrioche#designinprogress#patternwillbecomingatsomepoint

Tid til strikkeprøver 😉 @mettekjrulff inspirerede mig til at lave prøver med tyndere p og andet garn.
Samme ribmønster ser forskelligt ud, så måske skal jeg prøve andre variationer 😂🤔

Design in progress ⚠️
When we start choosing material for a project it usually starts with the flooring, a beautiful decorative wall tile or some fabulous wallpaper! We’re drawn to texture, color and pattern... and that’s just the start! -
For this project we started with some amazing decorative tile by @tabarkastudio and the design elevated from there! #projectcottagefeelsandlemonpeels
Here's the prototype for the bags I'm currently working on. The date on this photo says it was taken April 20, 2019, and I know I had been fiddling with this design for a few months before that (swipe for the progress shots). It seems so long ago! I feel I've been working with this idea for a long time! It has kept me good company. 😌 I love scrolling back through photos to see how things have developed. It's exciting and also encouraging to see an idea progress. Since finishing the prototype a few details have changed, but the bags I'm working on now are basically the same. I've still got a ways to go yet with this one, and I can't wait to see where we end up! #designinprogress
As much as I'm feeling the love for this chunky lace, I'll be ripping all this back because one teeny tiny part of the design isn't as good as it could be. Also of note - I've knit more than half a sweater and I'm still on the first skein of this @cascadeyarns#cascadeecowool ! 💕
I find color work, fair-isle/stranded knitting to be strangely addictive and meditative. Do you feel the same way? There's something about just watching a picture form from the needles and suddenly, your work becomes a canvas of sorts.
I also love how the WS of fair-isle looks, especially when it's all neat and organized. It's quite soothing to me.
What type of knitting do you find relaxing or meditative or hard to put down?
