Last Ferry Lager is a strong, malt-driven new world lager made with all-Tasmanian malted barley and hops. It underwent a cool open fermentation with a traditional German lager yeast. Modest dry hopping with Galaxy during lagering has contributed subtle orange blossom, rockmelon and passionfruit aromas without overwhelming the biscuity malt flavours. 6.6%a/v
Nothing/All from @floodlandbrewing with the very proper Goldfish accouterments. This beer was among the best I've had from Floodland-- bursting with plums, a little more acidic than some Floodland fruited beers, but still compulsively drinkable. #properglassware#goldfishcrackers

TUESDAY TAKEOVER! | Meet the Sumralls, husband and wife duo behind @white_pillars @chef_sumrall was raised in McComb, Mississippi. Growing up, he spent most of his time hunting, fishing, hiking, foraging and cooking at his familys equine and cattle ranch in Liberty. Cooking with his Mother and Grandfather was always a favorite pastime. The Sumrall family would always say, “we’d sit down to eat lunch and be planning for dinner.” He graduated from Parklane Academy in 2006 and went on to attend OleMiss (Hotty Toddy!) where he would meet his wife, Gulfport native, Tresse Young.
While studying towards a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Austin also worked full time in the kitchen at @boureoxford . After graduation he set his sights on the prestigious @theculinaryinstituteofamerica . While Austin was receiving his classical training in New York, @tressesumrall was across the country studying to become a nurse at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. The pair lived in New Orleans for a Summer while Austin externed at @cochon_nola . After graduation Tresse got a job in the Emergency Department in McComb and has been an ER nurse since. Austin proposed in Central Park and soon after their respective graduations, they married in October 2012. They both accepted jobs and moved to Birmingham, Alabama, and Austin began his career at the famed @hotandhotfishclub under Chef Chris Hastings. They welcomed son Ollie to the family in 2015, and soon began making plans to move back to Mississippi and pursue their dream of opening their very own restaurant in their beloved home state. The Sumrall’s connected to the Holstein and Mlladinich family and the rest is White Pillars history!
We truly appreciate every person that comes in to dine with us and supports our restaurant. When you shop and eat local you are supporting families like the Sumralls! ❤️❤️
Ot kolejny Porter do kolekcji.
DDH Triquetrilization, a monster collab from @b52brewing, @spindletapbrewery, and @baabaabrewhouse. Enormous thanks to @chopped_n_brewed for hooking me with a can after missing the release for a second time.
Just phenomenal. These 3 breweries came together and went pedal to the metal on creaminess, hoppiness, and balance. This double IPA was THICC. It poured almost like fruit purée. The creaminess too is next level. I honestly can’t think of a creamier beer that I’ve ever had.
Tropical fruit flavors are everywhere in this one. Very little hop burn as well...nailed it considering what the pounds per barrel must be. My biggest concern, prior to popping this brew, was the sweetness level. But that was a waste of time. Despite everything happening here, it was the right sweetness level. Fits perfectly with the concept.
3 powerhouses = 3 times the impressive level

Raspberry Rye Milk Porter @dainton.beer 🍓🥛
I've been wanting to make it to Dainton for quite a while now, and finally I had a free day!
Dainton brew pub is super cute, has yummy wood fired pizza, kick ass chips and even an outdoor area where you can bring your dogs!! 🐩
There was a great selection on tap, but I decided to go with the Raspberry Rye Milk Porter. This does not taste like a 6% beer, much lighter than a stout, which is a change from my usual dark preference. Dainton reminded me of my time in Scotland. When I lived there, I had many Galswegian twists on a @guinness , where blackcurrant cordial was added to the beer. Dainton brought me back to my Scottish days, except instead of blackcurrant it was raspberry and instead of Guinness, was Porter.
What interesting twists do you all do to your beers?

Closest I have been so far, stuff in the car ready to go.
