Rule nr 1 for me in Africa: Always carry an instrument or at least drumsticks, then you can kindly ask to sit in with most bands. By doing that tonight, in 10 minutes I got 10 new Congolese musician friends in Tanzania. That's why music is outstanding as a human bridge!
Tonight at Bā'sik, August 25th, 2019, thə bā-sik hau̇s band is Shin Sakaino (bass), Julia Chen (piano), Kazuhiro Odagiri (drums), David Neves (trumpet), and Tomoaki Baba (saxophone). House band starts at 7pm and visiting musicians are invited to sit in until 10pm. $8 Jim Beam drink specials available while the music lasts.
Vocal mic and guitar amp on premises, and the first bass player who comes through to sit in gets a beer on the house band's tab.
Looking back on our Identity album two years ago... each guest on the record truly elevated our songs and expanded our sound. Feeling grateful. Thanks to our pal @thedavidshaw for making magic with us ✨
We’re gearing up for a new instrumental release and some even newer collaborative recordings. Stay tuned 🎧🙌

Este amor es brutal
Más que físico, es supernatural
y completamente irracional
No soy un extraño para qué no tomes el riesgo
Apuesto mi vida en un beso
Se que esto es peligroso
