An estimated 20,000 African elephants are killed by poachers and other people every year, according to WWF.
The animals’ meat, hides and tusks are money-spinners.
East Asia is the biggest market for ivory and for many illegally traded products, such as the animal parts used in traditional Chinese medicine.
Some countries want to ease the restrictions on buying and selling, however.

On safari in Yala. Can’t say I’m a safari sort of person but it’s ticked off the list. We saw elephants, monkeys, 3 leopards, sloth bear, mongoose, various birds and deer. Spotting some of these animals, chasing across the national park in a jeep, reversing faster than I’ve ever done in my life in reverse is definitely an art that the drivers have! We stayed in a ‘tent’ which allowed us to see elephants, wild boars and numerous cows up front for the 2 days we were there. The elephant has a strong sense of smell apparently so you have to be careful what you leave in your tent and cars - the one photo of the elephant was just before he used his backside to bash in the kitchen door. @yala_national_park_#yala#yalanationalpark#yalanationalparksafari#srilanka#safari#elephants#leopard#leopards#elephant#monkeys#safaritent#worldtour#worldtravel#travel
What an amazing experience to spend time with elephants in a free setting! And it's so amazing to see people who really care for animals and do anything they can to preserve and give them longer better life!🐘
This family in Texas owns a ranch and 5 elephants that are more like family members to them. One of the elephants has been with this family for over 40 years!😍
They give them bath every day, do their pedicure once a month, make sure they get their exercise daily, feed them about 200lbs of food a day per one elephant and give them vitamins & minerals. One of the elephants even had a prosthetic leg to fix her walking gate!😱
Because of the human care these elephants are tend to live over 60 years where in natural habitat their lifespan is 40-48 years.
We were so lucky to go meet these beautiful animals and even give them a bath🤗 If you ever visit Texas or if you live here, I totally recommend to experience this for yourself!💙

It always boost my energy and make me feel loved when I spent time with lives that doesn't know the language by words and alphabets. they do understand the language of touch feelings and energy thus they gravitates me towards them so I can taste the flavour of LOVE "Spend little bit of you life with living lives "
As we become so much judgmental so that we are really forgetting test of love and gratitude but it isn't late. Life is waiting for us. Love is waiting for us which we can only feel within. Let's be the living life not the ded human
