Some rad shots from @transcascadia with the pedal power #trailcutters 🤘🤘
What a weekend. We at Trans-Cascadia have embarked on a mission to recover every single lost backcountry trail within the Cascade Mountain Range. We find trails, log them out and brush them out… it’s a specific skill set that is unique to mountain bikers… two wheels are efficient and our community is fit and strong. This combination, along with a bunch of kick ass volunteers, are getting the work done. However, there are only so many volunteers/mountain bikers and there is a lot of work to do. How are we going to get it done? The answer is collaboration across communities. This was the first “official” work party of the year for us and the first actual collaboration with the Backcountry Horsemen. Mountain Bikers and Horse community: We share many things in common. One of those things is the commonality of the trails we like to ride and the work that needs to get done. If we do not collaborate, we will not have open trails. On both sides of the fence are stories of bad run ins… a few bad examples that unfortunately stand out. The majority of our communities are good people who want to get the work done, and that is what we are going to focus on. We can’t forget about the legacy of Horse and Hike on the trails we ride today… these trails, prior to MTB, were built, cleared and maintained by these communities. And now we’re here. Let’s be sure to tip our hats and respect the communities that have been working for decades to build and maintain trails. Be nice, yield, and say Hi, it’s that easy. Thanks to @santacruzbicycles for sponsoring this last work party. They supplied the food/chef for our volunteers and invested in 4 new Stihl HS56 hedge trimmers for our community and brought a crew up to get the work done. Thank guys! Also thanks to our new Bev sponsor @fattire , we were well hydrated and stoked to have your support. Thanks to @nwtrailalliance and @evergreenmtb for close collaboration and a BIG THANKS to our volunteer community who inspires us to keep this going and who show up and get the work done! 💵 shots by @dylanvanweelden
For this year's EnduroBoxer meeting we have come up with another offer. If you are afraid of the terrain and would like to spare your bike more, you can go on a journey with Ralf. Nice little streets around the meeting.
I left Dushanbe early in the morning and took the course to Pamir. There are actually two options - south road (easier and mostly paved) and north one (almost 150 km of rocks, gravel, red dust like a sand via the mountains). Guess which one I chose😝
I managed to get to Qal'al Khumb (the final destination of the day) almost in the dark. And this was the hardest day of my riding like ever. I feel completely exhausted. The boy who offers homestay just bought me at "Hello"
The plan for tomorrow is to cover approx twice the distance of the same shitty road to Khorog. I will just to try enjoy the ride)
P. S. I was shocked when I saw numbers of signs of mines in the mountains. Sorry, but there won't be any picture of me with a sheep on the hill
🇺🇸 AMATEUR RIDERS
Far from racing, one of the things I enjoy the most, especially since I started my school @endurotrainingschool, is to be able to help, together with my team, amateur riders who are eager to enjoy there bike on the weekends without major pretense to leave behind pains and do hillclimbs with a fluent ease! That smile from ear to ear behind the helmet is... indescribable 😊 Proud and happy to be able to do it and tell you ❤️
Encore une belle collaboration avec @24mx@24mxreps , cette fois-ci j'ai pu avoir l'occasion d'essayer leur lève moto proworks !
Sympa non ;)? Si tu veux le commander, le lien est en bio alors n'hésite pas !
Man it was such a beautiful day to get out on the bike this morning. Rode out to Sanibel Beach, Bunchee Beach, Fort Myers Beach then did a little city riding and back home. About 60 miles. Great way to clear my mind and start my day. Hope everyone else is enjoying their day too.
