Awe-inspiring is an understatement. 🚁Flying into the heart of British Columbia’s mountain range was both humbling and exhilarating.
Our excitement spiked when we spotted the remote wilderness Bugaboo Lodge, our basecamp for the next 3 days of heli-access adventure!
Fun Fact: Heli-access adventure means that the professional guides take you by helicopter to remote landscapes for a hike, walk or even via Ferrata climb. They can make it as relaxing or challenging as you want.
That fish never stood a chance against this sea hawk (Osprey). It sat a top a tree and I watched it scope out dinner for 45 minutes. What a rush it was to watch such a natural thing! Im beyond excited to share this series of photos with you all! 🦅
I’m not sure where William was standing when he took this photo today (Partridge Island? Fundy Rose?) but it sure is a dramatic scene. In fact, you could call this a sandwich shot. Dark heavy clouds above, dark glassy water below, and in the centre is the good stuff: a cruise ship leaving port with a pilot boat leading the way, and a citrus sky along the horizon adding that “special sauce”. Tasty! Thanks for sharing this delicious composition, @willy_douglas - it’s our photo of the day!

Surrounded by good company makes the 0300 start much easier. We went up with the intent to catch sunrise and watch the full moon set. We saw neither the sun rise nor the full moon set but listening to the earth wake up amongst us was just as fulfilling. A blue morning in Kluane.
The T101s passed by Victoria earlier this week! This family consists of T101, a 50 year old female, and her three sons. One of her sons, T102, was likely adopted by her.
The group of 4 passed Sooke by noon and were around San Juan Island by the evening! Biggs killer whales can travel up to 100 km in a single day. Where they travel to cannot be predicted; all we know is they make their travel plans primarily around food.
Our last day in Churchill Manitoba was epic! We started our morning on the frigid waters of the Churchill River where we were so overwhelmed by Beluga Whales that we almost couldn't believe what was happening.
Our day ended with a helicopter flightseeing of Wapusk National Park where we saw Polar Bears, Caribou, Beluga Whales, AND Moose from the air. AMAZING!
Crankworx is happening in Whistler this weekend and it is insane what these riders are throwing down! 🤯
