Don’t look for the thing that will fix you NOW,
Search for the thing that will help you forever,
Don’t punish your body relentlessly for a year or two just to quit when it’s unsustainable,
Love your body daily with the things that are consistent and maintainable,
Don’t join a fad,
Construct your own path.
I speak from a life of experience, always jumping on the latest trends, punishing my body, getting tiny and not knowing if I could maintain the workload it took, stress, anxiety, exhaustion.
I’ve now found a place, it’s a great place where exercise is movement and enjoyment never punishment, I do less far less yet my body listens and my results are better, I live fad free and would do anything to inspire other women to find this place. A place called listening, a place called toning, a place called living. It’s simple . It’s sustainable . And when you find that happy place man is it sexy ;)
There are many things that bring me this feeling. It's an energy I try my best to keep alive.
Lately I started to think about places I go and things I do to chase this feeling. Travel is definitely one of them for me. It lights me up. There is something about new places, people, culture, sounds, sights, smells, food, environment, and spontaneity that makes me feel alive.
It made my wonder what I need to change in my life to allow me to experience that feeling without having it be a one time event or purchase. I'm working through and planning the details of that answer, but wow was that a powerful question.
I don't love the term chase, probably because I've chased a lot of wrong things in my life. But I do agree you should follow the aliveness.
What lights you up? Makes you feel connected? Valued? Fulfilled? At peace?

I wasn’t at my fitness goals when I became a coach. In fact, that’s exactly the reason why I said YES to my coach when she asked me to join the team.
When I reach out to ladies about joining our team, something I commonly hear is “well I’m not fit/healthy/strong/motivating/etc. enough to be a coach; why would someone trust ME to help THEM?”
I thought the same thing. But then I realized something in Dec 2017 (swipe for my Thanksgiving 2017 reality check): if I’ve failed myself over & over on my health goals for YEARS because no one kept me accountable, maybe becoming the accountability someone ELSE needed would help me stick to my journey even more....if someone was RELYING on ME versus me trying to rely on me alone, then I could 1) be consistent enough to get to my goals and 2) get them to their goals too🖤
And it’s worked. 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲. I’m down 32lbs & am the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my LIFE. Not because I lost weight, but because I 𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟. So why not you? Stop asking yourself “what if I can’t” and start asking “how far can I go”.

« You don’t respect yourself » , « you are arrogant », « you are a tease » ... so many phrases that can prevent us from living our OWN desiresd life. If we take them personally.⠀
The term of « self-respect » is different for everyone. It is a term with variable meanings.⠀
If people think that posting pictures with a swimsuit and showing butt, or kissing every single person in the club, or sleeping with whoever you want is not having self-respect, being arrogant or teasing, it is because they think that if THEY did this they wouldn’t respect themselves and they’d have the impression to be arrogant and to tease. That’s okay, they have their reasons. But it’s not because this is their perspective that it is true for everyone.
And it applies to all other judgments. ⠀
Their notion of self-respect shouldn’t disturb you. Your body and soul know what’s right for YOU. They don’t know yourself as much as you do.⠀
They call it “not respecting yourself”, I call it respecting and listening to your OWN vision, perspective, desires, wants and needs.⠀
The big question is are they respecting themselves and others ? If they were respecting others they would respect THEIR choices...⠀
They call it teasing, I call it self-confidence and derision.⠀
The big question is “are they self-confident ?”⠀
And why taking things so seriously ? 🤔⠀
Never take it personal when someone judges you. They are just reflecting their own ways of thinking or insecurities on you. 🌟

I love soil self-starters. Under the protection of mother plant, props thrive. I like to keep them together until soil space is depleted by robust root growth. ☀️

Sometimes you just need a tiny (bit of) hope and a little (but if) vulnerability to find your tiny (bit of) love and make it through 💙

Ego says “Once everything falls into place, I’ll feel peace.”
Spirit says “Find your peace, then everything will fall into place.”
Life gets crazy.
It’s never been about waiting for the storm to pass, but how can we ever dance in the rain without a balanced center, a clear vision?
As our worlds accelerate, peace begins to hide itself away under the corners of chaos. It becomes something we can’t seem to find anymore… so we wait. Wait for the chaos to calm and for peace to roll around again.
But what if I told you that if you keep waiting, you might just miss it altogether. What if I told you that all along the chaos is reactive to YOUR calm, not the reverse. Because peace isn’t to be found, it’s to be created.
No matter how crazy my life is, I create peace with a practice of gratitude, with time in nature, with meditation, and music. Creating peace within turns the clouds opaque around me, making visible the potential and promise for blue sky that has been there all along.
So don’t wait any longer for happiness, for peace to find you. Don’t wait until the chaos clears. And don’t search wide and far -- all you need is right there inside. However fast life runs circles around you, remember that peace is always just a thought away.
