Patiances is needed. Dedication is needed. Preparation is needed. But to enjoy the journey humour and excitement are also needed.
We are always bombarded with ways to achieve our goals and the discipline required to get there, which almost make it feel like we are force to do it. But very few tell us to enjoy the journey and make it fun along the way. No path is smooth and clear. Yes you will stumble. Yes you will have your off day. But it’s the fun moments of achieving our goal that pick us up and allow us to hit the road again. So laugh and enjoy it!
1st Photo: March 2018 - I was at my fittest and in the best shape after having my little girl in 2015. I was happy, felt confident and proud.
2nd Photo: July 2019 - 7 months since having my little boy. A stone heavier than the first photo. Not the fittest and definitely not in the best shape (for me!) I would be lying if I said i was as happy with my body as the first picture. BUT I am still happy that my body has been through two pregnancies, diagnosed with pre-eclampsia both times, a caesarean section and still managed to recover from it all (thank god!) A woman's body is extraordinary. We take it for granted. We should celebrate us, celebrate what the female body can achieve every single day. Today, I am thankful that I am healthy, I have my babies, my husband and my family by my side. It's ok to be heavier than last year. It's ok to be in a DIFFERENT shape than what I would like to be in. I am going to stop being so harsh on myself and take my own advice 😊🙌 Here's to another week of being positive, healthy and happy ❤
