In this picture, you can clearly see how bad Jakarta's air quality is in the background caused by severe pollution. Even the cityscape visibility is very thin.
We already know that forests support sustainability in the earth, because forests don’t only serve as a facility to produce foods, but also produce oxygen, preventing land erosion, and saving water flows.
Then, these functions make many countries protect their forests, and the countries are working together globally to maintain the forest.
Therefore, most of deforestation are done illegally by irresponsible people act in greed. Today, a half of the forests are gone in Indonesia.
In Indonesia, the main cause of deforestation is illegal logging and forest fires to open new fields. Over time, deforestation became uncontrollable, to supply wood industry, for building materials, household tools, or as fuels.
Hence, we can all agree the substantial importance of protecting our forests at all costs--to save our kind, to provide sustainable life on earth for the future generations. Not only human, but all creatures to not extinct. Simply because lesser ability of the existing forests to produce oxygen that we breathe in.
How to actively participate?
1. Starting from not purchasing any products of companies who are directly or indirectly involved in deforestation, such as unsustainable logging, irresponsible cattle farming, and crude palm oil.
2. Supporting local environmental NGOs who are vocal in educating the society and voice out the awareness of our ignorant government + entrepreneurs about sustainable farming and forestry protections.
3. Reduce your personal carbon foot prints daily, one of them is by commuting with public transportation than personal vehicles. The lesser, the better we contribute to slowing down global warming.
Not to scare anyone, but lung disease and many other potential sickness due to global warming (or even worse, our own extinction) are not impossible to happen in the near future if we don't act now!
:: summer isn’t over yet! there is still time to make it better with a cozy. even though it was designed for your iced coffee, you can use it with any cup!
morning coffee? cozy. iced tea with lunch? cozy. afternoon latte? cozy. happy hour drink? COZY. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
why are the cozies so awesome??
🖤 they’re handmade in Salem
🖤 made from cotton yarn (vegan, easy to wash)
🖤 they roll up to fit in your bag or pocket
🖤 they slow down your ice melting. your drink stays colder, longer!
🖤 all the gross condensation gets absorbed and your hands stay dry.
🖤 they make holding the cup itself way more comfortable.
🖤 I make them in 10 colors and 3 sizes so you can find the perfect one for you!
the cozy life = living your best life ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
oh p.s. when you buy a cozy, I’m giving you a free metal straw! (while I still have them!) because you’re awesome and turtles are too 🐢

Ми вже їдемо по території Чехії 🙌 Стільки краси за вікном, скільки емоцій, а ці наші розмови з коханим... ох, щаслива я ❤
Kesalahan terbesarku adalah terlalu mencintai tempat ini
Sehingga membuatku merasa takut tuk kehilangan surga ini 🙏

Trip info & book:
This autumn it feels more relevant to work on forest preservation projects than ever. I’ve come to realise that photography can be just the right tool to get important messages across, why not about pressing sustainability matters. I’m sure most of us are making changes in our lives in that direction, and I guess I just like to encourage just that. If I - and other amongst me - can use this platform for other purposes than just career ones, I’m sure we’ll be better off. Once again, thanks to each and everyone of you for following along, your comments never go unnoticed ♡ 🌲
Weekend vibes 🍁
What are your plans for this weekend?
The annual end of the summer town festival has arrived in my home town so I'm packing my bags and going to my mom's where I'll be staying until Monday. It's gotten kind of cold and windy here so in my weekend bag you'll find a knitted sweater and comfy pj's. Autumn is finally settling in, and I couldn't be happier.
This weekend I'll binge on hot churros, foreign food and bubble waffles, and I'll be drinking chai lattes and rosé wine. It's partly a food festival, so 🤷🏼♀️
There's also this thing in the evening called something like the river walk. This basically means that around midnight we'll walk along the river and there'll be different kind of performances, and art exhibitions. They also dye the river green and give it a smokey surface. No idea how they do this without disturbing the fish and river life, but I know they'd never cause any harm to the river, or they wouldn't do it. We're extremely eco concious over here.
Gniezno! gniazdo Lechitów! kiedy twoje wieże
Dalekiego pielgrzyma źrenica dostrzeże,
Serce bije gwałtownie, głowa mu się mroczy
I łza niespodziewana zabiega na oczy
Gniezno, zkąd rój w Piastowskim wychowany ulu
Generally, I don't pick wild flowers but then it's not always a special occasion! 🌸
My next article for @shetland_life is on foraging in Shetland with some tips on how to gather alongside nature! Avoid uprooting a plant, never pick 'endangered' plants (these ones are all classed as 'weeds' or from my yard), always pick sporadically from where there is an abundance and leave plenty for pollinators! 🐝
