Look what arrived: @argencove chocolate, made in Nicaragua, from Nicaragua cacao, by 3 Australian families of food-lovers who found themselves enthralled by the region while traveling and decided to stay! They have developed a tree to bar agroforestry system, and they operate in close connection with local communities. I've received the Passionfruit, Banana, and Mombacho chocolate bars, all 70% -- the latter is named for a nearby volcano. I am excited and honored to be able to sample these special bars! #thankyou
This was my afternoon! At the National Geographic Food Festival - lots of delicious foods and drinks to try, my kind of show! This was quite small but still fun. I loved the decorated mexcal bottles (swipe left!)

📍 EL RINCON: CARRER DEL CARME, 28, 08001 BARCELONA
💰 CROQUETES: 4,50€
💰 QUEIJO BRIE EMPANADO: 6,50€
I never had anything to eat until about 11pm after the fondue and this traditional Swiss dessert. My friend just called it “chestnut” and I never really got to the bottom of what it was called, but it was essentially made of chestnut cream, meringue, ice cream and double cream..
It’s no surprise I was so full really and this was a half portion! Yes you read correctly, a half portion... it was lovely.

🍴LITTLE BIRD. SLOW COOKED LAMB (with hummus and flat bread)
It’s back !!!! In 1999 Originally hoping to attract prostitutes, layabouts and ex-cons, restaurant legend Kieth McNally first opened this romanticised Vision of a Parisian bistro In one of the most run down seediest areas of Manhattan ... the meat packing district . New Yorkers however , apparently hungry for anything with style and substance soon flocked to and filled its tables and what was then considered revolutionary Uber chic, new and cool, their zinc bar . Of course then A - listers , judges , politicians , models and the dreaded restaurant reviewers could not get enough of the place and it Became one of the cities most valued culinary assets.
Naturally what followed for the area was laughably expensive , I saw you coming, boutique shops , more fancy pants restaurants, cleaner streets , shinier windows and higher rents . Closing in 2014 , much to the distress of New Yorkers apparently due to these crazy rents ( we were lucky enough to visit just in the nick of time before all the furniture got wrapped and bundled into storage ) , it was with tremendous excitement for NYC to learn that the restaurant would reopen , around the corner from the original spot in June this year . Don’t feel too sorry for them however as They did have another of his master pieces @balthazarny To keep them happy .
So much like the return of the spice girls ( bear with me ...) it will be interesting to see what the new generation make of it . Of course for us over 30 s a nostalgic trip down memory lane is always welcome but with so much change in the food scene , even in those five short years, I’m curious to see, besides being a sure fire hit to the more mature diners , if it will attract the next generation of Bon vivants... .
“Don’t judge a book by its cover” Fancy interiors and affordable food! And did I mention that their food are good for sharing too?! Amazingly delicious food! 😋

A very humble stall with a World Class Dessert! Been queing for 15mins & I would say its worth the wait. The BEST shake I have ever tasted, period! The tourism board should help to promote it as one of the gastro-tourism sites to the world. Special thanks to @zr_photographer for recommending me to this wonderful dessert.
