Wee update: The Mongol Rally 2019 is well under way. The guys are a month into their journey and currently making their way through the Stans. They're having the absolute time of their lives and raising money in the process. What more could you ask for? My most excellent friend is going on a most excellent adventure. Liam and his co-pilot/partner in crime Ryan are taking on the Mongol Rally 2019 on behalf of 2 charities - @sandscharity and @coolearthaction. They'd like to raise as much as possible for these 2 amazing causes, and would appreciate any help in doing so. Please take a moment to read about it, and show your support if you can. Thank you! Amadou supports young people affected by violence to choose peace. “I began working with AJCET (Association of Youth Against Recruitment into Terrorism, AJCET in French) because I discovered that more and more young people were joining armed groups in Mali. I had to do something!
Hannah was born in January 2018. She is her mother joy.
In October 2018, Jaulik found messages from Brandon's multiple lovers. She also found proof that some of these women met Hannah. She was devastated.
Afterwards, Brandon *continued his affairs
*wiped out their shared accounts.
Jaulik decided that she had endured enough trauma and emotional abuse. Brandon moved into his own apartment.
On June 13th, Jaulik called the cops on Brandon for showing up at her home and harassing her. The police were unable to legally remove him. Jaulik decided to take herself and her daughter somewhere else for the night.
She was unsure where she would go. However, she knew she had to protect herself as a now single woman with a toddler daughter. Therefore, she put her licensed gun in her glove box and drove away. Brandon called the cops on Jaulik. He claimed that she tried to harm him.
She was arrested and put in jail for one night. The police gave baby Hannah to Brandon.
During her night in jail, Brandon filed a protective order. He perjured himself to get the order approved. He alleged that she beat him, raped him, harassed random women, beat their dogs, abused their daughter, and is mentally unstable.
The protective order prevents Jaulik from living in her home and from seeing her own daughter.
To this date Jaulik has not been charged. Brandon also has not offered any proof of the horrible things he is alleging.
Brandon has taken *her daughter
*her personal documents.
Jaulik is having a difficult time finding a good lawyer who will fight for her and her daughter.
She must pay for supervised visits. The program requires her to pay $60 per hour.
Jaulik put her career on hold to have Hannah. At the time of these events she did not have any personal income.
She has been trying to get back into sales. She has obtained her real estate license. She is driving for Lyft and Uber. She has created an online auction. She has put out resumes and has been on several job interviews. Unfortunately, she has not had any luck.
Jaulik loves baby Hannah more than anything. Consider donating to this cause.

Earlier this month a small team of us had the opportunity to visit the kids at Glory Glory. We brought them games, new sports equipment, captured some great photos, but mostly great memories spending time with the kids and Pastor Sam. We’re excited for what this next year will hold for @evolutionhaiti and can’t wait to share more about our trip. Stay tuned!

Oh.my.word. I am SO excited about something that is coming Sept 1st! Last month God put a little idea on my heart. When you attend the YL convention, much of it focuses on The Young Living Foundation. Every year I'm inspired but this year I really felt a nudge to DO something.
The idea came to me that I could lose weight for a cause, I actually might do better at being consistent with it... I thought if I did a Fundraiser that would allow my loved ones to make pledges based off of my goals I could probably raise a couple hundred dollars & reach my weight loss goals at the same time. I immediately thought of my dear friend Angie & wanted to do it with her along my side because she not only has similar goals but she also has a huge heart for the foundation. One little "hey do you want to do this with me" turned into two more additions to the team, Lori, who dreams BIG & Joshua, a natural leader. We started tossing around some ideas with a desire to bless the Young Living Foundation, & just a short few weeks later, "Fit for Freedom" was born.
We have been working hard along with the IT department at the Foundation, to make all of this ready for our launch on Sept 1st!!
It has grown into so much more than my little vision! It's about being accountable to your fitness goals, whatever they may be, bringing YOU freedom of health & OTHERS freedom from oppression and SO MUCH MORE. Maybe you have a goal of losing weight, running a 5K, competing in a race, or just being accountable with your method of fitness.... No matter what your fitness journey looks like, you will be able to join the "Fit for Freedom" fundraiser that runs through May 31st by asking your friends & family to make a pledge based off of your goal.... pounds lost, miles walked, days worked out, etc or they can choose to just donate a flat amount. Each participant can customize with milestones & goals.
My original idea was to raise a couple hundred bucks but with this amazing group of visionaries, the fundraiser goal is now $200,000 over the next 9 months! 😭❤
Please follow along or join us on FB & IG Fit For Freedom YL & check out the foundation, too!

I'm really proud of everyone involved in getting this off the ground. Having a dedicated team that believes in what we're doing has been invaluable. It feels amazing to get recognized for our efforts to give back to the community via @littlechangesgiving. Better; it's great to see the community supporting local organizations. The future is bright.
Château de la Roche Courbon has its origins in the 15th centuries. A castle was built on the site (which had been inhabited since prehistoric times) in 1475 by Jehan de Latour. The Courbon family later purchased it, and in the 18th century, updated it into a more comfortable residence. It stood abandoned for more than a century until it was purchased in 1920 by Paul Chénereau and restored, both château (now classified as a historic monument) and gardens (regarded by the French Ministry of Culture and one of the Notable Gardens of France). The grounds also contain stone age cave dwellings, and prehistoric finds from the property are housed in a museum in the keep. Located in Charente-Maritime, it is open to the public.

Today we attended the South Ashford Active Retirement Association and had a brilliant time. Such genuinely kind and lovely people plus great entertainment. Scarlett was handed a £50 cheque by the head of the group and the wonderful people there filled Scarletts bucket up with another £210. This £260 raised today has taken Scarlett's total to £5022.00 meaning she has smashed her £5000 total in 15 months today! We can't thank you all enough, everyone of you for every bit of time, money, item donation, publicity and support. I can't begin to tell you what this means to us as a family for supporting Scarlett in her mission at 7 years old. Also a massive thank you from everyone at Guide Dogs - Ashford I have seen first hand what these amazing dogs do for the blind. Scarlett will now apply to name a puppy Max after our friends dog who she loved! For all those asking "what happens now?" Well I'm informed that the £22 extra is the start of a new £5000 target taking her to £10,000 in all. The next dog will be named after our cousin Sophie who grew her angel wings in 2017. She was and still is an absolute inspiration to us and Scarlett wants to make sure her name goes on to inspire and help others.
So I went for a second recce... tomorrow’s the day! The steepness of this Street is one thing, but add in the winding corners, slippery drains (placed right on those corners 🙈), and wall I’m likely to disappear straight over, and you have a recipe for mountain boarding chaos 😬 Yes, I am questioning my life choices 😂
If you’re watching my stories and haven’t a scooby what I’m doing in Harlech today, let me briefly explain... I’ve reached £100 of my charity fundraising target, so the challenge I set for this milestone was to mountain board down the steepest Street in the World... in a Welsh dragon outfit! Ffordd Pen Llech in Harlech, North Wales, was recently declared this. If you want to know any more about my fundraising there’s a link on my page

Your donation will help us help more. Please, help us save precious lives and do our very best for these wonderful creatures.
This project is completely self-funded and your support is vital if I and my volunteers want to make a lasting difference to these animals’ lives. Your donation today - whatever amount you choose to give - will help us save animals from suffering and give them the best life they deserve. All my gratitude, and I do not take it for granted. Federica Fedy Trivelli (the founder)
Our goal is easy. We want to simplify fundraising. And when we can do that for your organization, it gives you more time to do what you do best; changing the lives of those around you.

They're unapologetically here.
And they're damn proud of it.
They know the odds of funding are stacked against them.
And they're setting to smash that stack.
They know they'd get funded if 'things' were different.
So they'll just do it anyway from those 'in-the-know'.
Then they'll catch you sliding in their DMs when they go ahead and get it.
Nonprofits who count on grants and foundations for their growth are all asking one question:⠀
“What are funders looking for?”⠀
It makes sense, right? You have a mission to serve others, and you need support. Your organization can invest hundreds or thousands of hours every year pursuing funding opportunities that may or may not come through.⠀
In the meantime, there are hundreds of banks, foundations, government entities, and private donors in your area actively searching for you and what you do. But what do you need to do differently to get their attention and demonstrate that you can put their dollars to good use?⠀
Join us on Tuesday, August 27th for the Funders Roundtable, a facilitated dialogue with South Florida foundation leaders about building relationships between funders and nonprofits.⠀
If you have an organization that relies on funders for your cause, this event will give you key insights to save you hundreds of hours of staff time and stress trying to match up with the right funding partners while getting your relationships started on the right foot.⠀
Tickets are only $10. ⠀
We look forward to seeing you there!⠀

I think we should do another one of FLAMBOYANCE at @berbersf . Here raising money for the @lgbtasylumproject . Thanks for having me @julianowade .
Berber provides fine dining and entertainment under one roof! A wonderful experience.
We are late posting about the long run over the weekend. It wasn’t super special, but it was definitely difficult. .
Overcoming the mental desire to stop and “try again” tomorrow is something of a beast to knock down. Having something to read or watch while running has become a security blanket. It works for a while, but it doesn’t distract for forever. Not to mention the difficulty of reading while running, from the standpoint of it not being still. I utilized this for the first 4 miles. It worked, then it didn’t. .
I got off the tread for a sprite (don’t hate) and returned different. Anger showed up. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it can be extremely detrimental. Sunday it was 50/50. I tried to channel it as best as I could. I prayed (in circles). I self talked. I did all the normal things that can occur at much longer distances, but on this day, they were here at mile 5, 6, 7, and 8. I tried to focus on my bigger purpose - raising funds for OESR. @ouresrescue_ Thinking of what all it will allow them to do got me over mile 8 and 9. After that, it was “Just get it done Jenna. Beat your best time.” So, I cranked up the speed and sprinted my way through mile 10. .
Not the smartest choice from a training standpoint, but I did it. I shaved some time and gained a PR. I then pulled my shoes off, walked .75 barefoot and literally laid down on the treadmill. Just laid there. It was over. I was fine (physically beat, but fine). .
You can do whatever you choose to do. It may not happen in the time frame you want it to, BUT it CAN happen. Do the work. Take the time. Pray. Embrace the transition. And be thankful. .

In October, a group including me will be trekking part of the Sahara near the Algerian border. It will be an amazing challenge, particularly as it is in aid of a brilliant cause, @thameshospice. This organisation provides specialist medical care and support to people with life limiting and terminal illnesses. It provides dignity, kindness and peace to people at end-of-life, as well as therapies and support for those managing life limiting conditions. The medical staff are incredible: kind, professional, positive and sensitive.
The Hospice also provides counselling to the bereaved, including a specialist support service for bereaved children and teenagers.
Patients come from all walks of life and their families feedback how much they love the Hospice: it's a place of calm, peace, laughter, reflection and kindness.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why are we doing the trek?
The challenge and for personal reasons: all participants are connected to the hospice in some way. People in the group have done some amazing things to fundraise and there are some truly inspiring people coming along. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you would like to sign up to trek, there's still time and it's not a prerequisite by any means that you are connected to Thames Hospice: deadline is 27th August.
Thames Hospice is a charity and so all services are provided free of charge to patients and their families. Trek funds raised will go towards helping to build a new bigger hospice, enabling Thames Hospice to care and support more people in the community.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested.

Poor Roxie has suffered LONG TERM abuse and neglect⠀
When she was surrendered to Bully4You Rescue and Rehabilitation, her rescuers couldn't believe the condition she was in. She was severely starved and dehydrated, her poor bones protruding from her body, and had a painful eye condition that rendered her almost blind⠀
To top it off, she was assessed to be suffering from a hookworm infestation that depleted her energy daily and in need of preventative shots. Due to the severity of her eye conditions (Entropian AND Cherry Eye), bilateral surgery will be needed to keep her eyelids from folding inward and scraping her corneas. She has a massive infection right now, as you can see from her photos, and it breaks our hearts. Poor Roxie had been in pain for YEARS and no one did a thing⠀
Her rescue's current plan is to deal with her infection with antibiotic trials, increase her weight through a strict feeding regime, and get her the surgery she needs to live comfortably. Please consider donating today to help her rescue show her all the love in the world. Together, we can change her life⠀
Thank you so much in advance for your kindness. LINK IN BIO TO DONATE⠀

#IncredibleHumans As the rains in Kerala wreaked havoc the past week, this local trader’s humble act came as a boon to many grieving families. Noushad, who sells garments at Mattancheri in Ernakulam, donated all the dress material he had collected to sell ahead of Bakrid to flood relief. “We don’t carry anything along while we depart from this world, my profit is in helping the needy. Tomorrow is Bakrid, this is how I celebrate it,” Noushad was heard saying in the video. This charitable act has earned him the respect of millions of people from across the world!
