I'm currently in South Australia, having flown down from Sydney to attend the opening night of the Australian Photographer of the Year Awards at the South Australian Museum. Whilst I didn't win any awards, being shortlisted amongst such incredible work was reward enough! It was a wonderful event and was great to meet so many talented photographers. Congrats to all winners.
While in South Australia I've taken the opportunity to check out Lake Eyre - Kati-Thanda and tick this incredible landscape off my bucket list. The Lake is quickly drying up from the biggest flooding in 54 years and is an incredible landscape to shoot from the air.
This is the first of many images I'll be sharing from this trip. The jade green of Jackboot Bay really popped out against the sandbar protruding into the lake. Enjoy!
