Our very first carjacking session! Freaking weirdo has to scream at first, then switch to steady barking. 😂 I can't wait to look back in a few months time and see how much he will have grown and learned!
Are we too late for #stackdogsaturday ?! We spent all day driving home from our Maine adventure. Snapped this photo Friday evening as the sun was setting over the lake, which was lovely to watch. It’s not our best stacked photo, since Haru has been in the water every day this past week and needs a real bath and brush, but it’s not terrible! This week he practically lived in his new @crazyrebels collar. It truly is stinkproof and this week put it through the ringer. This was also Haru’s first time stacking on an unstable surface (a floating dock), but like everything new he took it in stride. We have literally hundreds of photos from this week, so hope you like Maine photos for a while! 😂😅🛶🏕

No super interesting photo here. This is just my usual POV when I’m with Arkos. I’m always with my must-haves: Arkos’ favorite toy ball and treat pouch.
I have to admit that our day didn’t start out wonderfully. My frustration level was high today and I kept our morning walk short. I didn’t want to make Arkos put up with me because it’s unfair to him.
Then we had group obedience class later in our morning. Even our trainer called me out on my correction during our loose leash walk, he told me I didn’t need to be angry. I’m grateful that he said that to me, I definitely needed it!
Arkos deserves clear communications, proper rewards, and fair corrections. There is no need for emotion to be involved in training. This is something I need to work on so bad! Has anyone ever felt like their emotions got in the way when training their dogs?
Luckily our evening walk was excellent. For whatever reason both Arkos and I did great tonight. Sure there were a couple times Arkos’ stare lingered too long on a person but with a quick reminder of “Leave it” he did!
I also felt like our obedience and play session on our walk was very strong. To my credit I really acted crazg and made exaggerated silly noises which Arkos absolutely loved. Arkos really loves making me act like a fool. 😂
