I remember the first yoga class I look, I was so nervous just trying to find the words to use was difficult. I’ve never been the sort of person that enjoys the spot light, so standing in front of the class was nerve racking but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I was stuck in a job for 10 years just because I had to work and earn money to pay the bills as we all do. It was just a circle that kept going around and before you realise you’ve worked for something nearly 10 years and you’ve not achieved anything in your life, you’ve got nothing to show for or be proud of. I choose to go away to make something of my life. I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Am working on myself. Am helping others like yoga helped me. There’s never a day where am not learning, this journey of mine will never stop. I am so grateful for the opportunity,but I can also say I did it, I made that choice to leave everything behind and make something of my life. Am in a place were going to work doesn’t feel like work, am connecting with people, am helping people. I am so blessed to have meet all the people I have done since travelling and teaching yoga, I can honestly say I’ve learned something from each and everyone and that’s what it’s all about. In my lifetime I’ll never stop learning. When am taking a class there’s nothing more I love than if there’s a student and he/she shows me things that I didn’t know or teaches me something new. When we are on the mat we are all equal. Doesn’t matter if am the teacher and your the student.
Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself.
Believe in yourself, your abilities and your own potential. Never let self-doubt hold you captive. You are worthy of all that you dream of and hope for.

¿Sabías que entre el 10 y 20% de los adolescentes experimentan problemas de salud mental?
Los adolescentes, por la misma etapa en la que se encuentran, están expuestos a cambios físicos, emocionales, cognitivos y sociales. Esto, los hace más vulnerables para desarrollar problemas de salud mental.
Según la OMS:
- La mitad de los trastornos mentales comienzan a los 14 años, pero en la mayoría de los casos, no se detectan.
- El suicidio es la tercera causa de muerte entre adolescentes de 15 a 19 años. El 90% de estos suicidios son de jóvenes que viven en países con ingresos bajos.
- Muchas conductas de riesgo comienzan en la adolescencia: consumo de sustancias o conductas sexuales riesgosas. Los hombres tienen más riesgo.
- La ansiedad es la octava causa de enfermedad en adolescentes.
- La depresión es la novena causa de enfermedad en adolescentes.
Por estas razones, trabajar desde el enfoque de la prevención, se vuelve fundamental. Prevenir significa anticiparnos de tal forma que podamos desarrollar estrategias destinadas a la mejora de la salud mental, y así evitar consecuencias negativas. ¿Cómo podemos prevenir?
- La comunicación es tu mejor aliada. Mientras tengas asegurada una comunicación fluida, de confianza y libre de juicios con tu hijo, sabrás que podrá contarte todo (o casi todo).
- Asegúrate de que tenga a algún adulto (además de ti) en quien confíe y lo pueda guiar (padrino, tio, psicólogo, etc.)
- Proporciona un ambiente de estabilidad, libre de cambios, maltratos o gritos.
- Pasa tiempo y con tu hijo.
- Infórmate sobre las tendencias de moda entre los jóvenes.
- Infórmate CORRECTAMENTE sobre los riesgos y problemas de salud mental entre adolescentes.
- A penas notes algún cambio en las emociones o conducta de tu hijo adolescente, no dudes en llevarlo inmediatamente donde un especialista.

Unfortunately, their food is NOT 100% clean, as independent lab tests show. In fact, in foods tested from 15 different restaurant chains, the highest level of the toxic weedkiller was found in a whole grain bagel that came from Panera. A reasonable consumer would expect that “100% clean food” wouldn’t contain glyphosate, certainly not the highest level of glyphosate from 15 restaurant chains tested - including McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Dunkin’ Donuts, and other fast junk food. I picked this up at Aldi and had only ever tried the mint choc chip before which is a winner. 👍🏽
However this has overtaken the mint as my new favourite flavour. Genuinely couldn’t believe how tasty it was. 😋

PURE - Strength + Wellness presents a NEW Fitness Training Class, a Functional, Strength and Cardiovascular mix!
The first class will run this Sunday, the 25th, and then every Sunday from 10am, for 45-50mins at the NEW PURE - Strength + Wellness Facility located at 734 Garden Road, Columbus.
Everyone is welcome for this class, you don’t need to be a member of PURE - Strength + Wellness and there is no long term commitment, no pre-booking, just show-up 10 mins before the start, and pay to participate that week. The cost is $10 per person and only individuals over the age of 14 please.
No children allowed at the facility during the class times, (10am-11am) so as to ensure no distraction or disturbance to the running of the class for all participants involved.
The Fitness Class is ran by Trainer Brandon Larkin, who is qualified with an undergrad degree in Sport & Exercise Physiology and also holds a NSCA-CSCS qualification, as well as a number of years of experience working in the Strength, Fitness and Conditioning fields.

The only thing is, since I’m home alone for a few weeks atm, I’m left to eat everything I make all by myself (not complaining about that, let’s be real😏).
This banana bread made a perfect pre-training arvo snack:
✅Great source of high quality carbs.
✅Easy to digest.
✅A little protein + fats to keep my BG stable through my session.

THIS SPREAD🤩 One of my favorite things to do when traveling is finding new restaurants to enjoy💓 I also love trying a little bit of everything on the menu!! 🙌🏻 Yesterday we went to @delcielotulum for breakfast and ordered the superfood acai bowl, tropical fruit plate, avocado toast with a fried egg, & the English breakfast 😍 and we ate it ALL 💯 What would you get?! ✨ #becksliveshealthy#tulum
SALTED CARAMEL CHEESECAKE PB COOKIE CHOC CHIP PROTEIN BROWNIE SLICE RECIPE (GF, V)
Have I won the award for the longest snack name yet?...😜 These are without a doubt my fav slices I’ve ever made. I mean, it has my favourite foods in one bite - salted caramel, cheesecake, PB and chocolate👌🏻What’s would your ultimate slice be?
Brownie layer ingredients:
▪️1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
▪️80ml canned coconut milk
▪️190g smooth peanut butter
▪️90g @fitlato no-sugar sweetener
▪️70g coconut flour
▪️60g @brawnaturals chocolate protein
▪️30g cacao powder
▪️5g baking powder
▪️1 tsp vanilla extract
▪️30g dark chocolate chunks
PB cookie layer ingredients:
▪️1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
▪️130g smooth peanut butter
▪️50g canned coconut milk
▪️20g rice malt syrup
▪️30g Fitlato no-sugar
▪️25g powdered PB/vanilla powder
▪️60g almond meal
▪️1/2 tsp baking powder
▪️30g peanuts, chopped
▪️150g cashews, soaked in hot water for 2hrs, then drained
▪️60g canned coconut milk
▪️45g coconut oil, melted
▪️40g Fitlato no-sugar
▪️25ml lemon juice
▪️1 tsp vanilla extract
Salted caramel layer:
▪️80g pitted dates, soaked in hot water for 2hrs, then drained
▪️25g canned coconut milk
▪️30g coconut cream, refrigerated (white part only)
▪️15g coconut oil, melted
▪️15g salted caramel protein
1. Preheat oven 180C
2. Brownie layer: blend chickpeas, coconut milk and sweetener until smooth. Add remaining brownie ingredients until dough forms. Press dough into baking tin lined with baking paper. Refrigerate whilst making cookie layer
3. PB cookie: Blend chickpeas, coconut milk and rice malt syrup until smooth. Add remaining cookie ingredients until soft dough forms. Press cookie dough on top of brownie
4. Cover tin with aluminium foil. Bake for 30-40min. Remove foil and bake for further 10-15min
5. Allow tray to cool before freezing for 1hr
6. Cheesecake: blend all cheesecake ingredients until smooth. Pour over cooled cookie brownie
7. Freeze for 3+ hours or until firm
8. Salted caramel: blend all ingredients except protein until smooth. Add protein and whisk until smooth. Spread over cheesecake. Freeze for 1hr/until solid. Slice and enjoy!
