Looking for a good way to keep fresh on your drugs? Ever keep a personal journal? 📒Well oh boy do I have a book recommendation for you! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Goodnight Pharm” by Tony Guerra, PharmD (@tony_pharmd) is a book intended to be used not only as a study guide, but as a notebook! Each section addresses some of the top medications for common indications. For each drug, Tony provides the pronunciation, a note or two about the drug, and tips on how to remember the drug with its indication/class. I’ve provided an example page as the second photo of my post. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This book is not meant to be a replacement to pharmacology books and resources. It doesn’t have all of the details of side effects, interactions, MOA, etc for each medication. HOWEVER, it is a fantastic complement to your studies. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I purchased this book about a month back and have been using it to casually review medications. Also, when there is a medication I am not familiar with in practice, I delve into monographs and whatnot, and put a few notes in “Goodnight Pharm” under the drug. Using this as a journal of your experiences with medications or as a notebook during pharmacology lectures (I wish I had this during my didactics) could be a very useful tool in learning and RETAINING drug knowledge. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pick up the book (or audiobook🎧) for a crash course reminder of the top ~350 drugs! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What area of pharmacology do you have the most trouble remembering? ✍️🗣
I truly LOVE what I do. I get work with all languages, people from all over the world and help people improve their health outcomes.
Last night we celebrated our 9th annual Summer Festival with our clients, linguists and staff. It was a magical evening with amazing people 🌎🎶🌮🍷🎤🍐 Can’t wait for our 10 year!
Many influencers or study-gram accounts only tend to share their success stories....getting hospital jobs, research positions and even 4.0 gpa but is that the reality? I personally don’t think so. Behind every achievement there are many tries, many rejections and many tears. Although this might not be true for everyone, it is true for many of us and I would encourage everyone to share the raw stories of their achievements instead of just the end result because it might be deceiving and it might make others feel like they are not good enough. We have to learn from our failures and rejections. Don’t ever let a C+ let you think its the end of the world. Don’t let a “thanks for applying but at this moment you do not meet our requirements” email make you think you can never get that job. Failures are just the beginning to our success. Let every failure ignite the fire in you to achieve your goals. At the end of the day, your journey of achieving your goals matters more than the end product. So, embrace each failure and learn to use it as motivation to work even harder for your goals💛
I continued with my regimen of physio, chiro, and massage, hoping that things would just work itself out, and that my gut feeling was wrong. PSA: It wasn’t. If you take away anything from my story let it be this: listen to your body. Don’t ignore that gut feeling. 9/10 times, its trying to tell you something pretty damn important. Weekly appointments to these clinicians just weren’t cutting it. Weekly physio, with acupuncture, stretching, “cupping,” heat, cold, electrical impulses - every resource at her disposal. And yet, this feeling in my body simply wouldn’t go away. My amazing physiotherapist was one of the first people who really took the time to listen to me, and she is the absolute first person who said “I'm no doctor, but i think you need to see one ASAP.” She even asked if i’d been bitten by something (okay “physio by day, psychic by night.”) On a serious note though, the number one thing I have wanted over the past 12 months is just to be heard, listened to, and BELIEVED. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t real for
someone else, so take your SKEPTICISM with you on your way out - we don’t need it, we don’t want it, and we won’t tolerate it!!!! Shortly after that, I stopped going to physio or any of the other places, as it couldn’t fix my problem and it became more of a pain for me than anything. Anything placed on my muscles was enough to put me in even more horrible pain. All it took was for someone or something to even poke my muscles, especially my arms, and the pain radiates there for hours. It was intolerable.
We had an "I LOVE LUCY" party in honor of Lucille Ball! We celebrated Lucy by having a local King City gal Lorie Carlson bring and display some of her “I Love Lucy” memorabilia. We talked about fun facts and had an "I Love Lucy" Quiz. Thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Lorie, for helping us make the day so special!

A Little Announcement: New Day and Time for the Weekly News Roundup https://www.trialsitenews.com/a-little-announcement-new-day-and-time-for-the-weekly-news-roundup/ via @Trial Site News #clinicaltrials#news#healthcare
I have been down for the count for the last two weeks. In bed, in agony, miserable. Based on my family and personal medical history we’re pretty sure we know what’s going on but as I don’t currently have health insurance and lack access to high quality healthcare locally I can’t get any kind of help despite the serious nature of my condition(s). It’s times like these I am grateful I can work style my clients virtually! Working with and seeing you shine really keeps my spirits up 🥰 .
Today I ventured to town out of necessity, although it was extremely difficult pain and fatigue wise. I picked up a soft cervical collar in hopes of stabilizing my cervical spine and reducing my severe neck pain. Although I will be wearing the collar judiciously, I decided today’s photo should include the collar and my walker. That is an accurate reflection of today’s reality. .

It's been an unfortunate time in my life for fitness. I have been going through pain on and off for over a month.
On the plus side, because of this pain, I have started finally using my health insurance. I am about to go full blown focused on the inside of my body to be as healthy as possible.
Physical therapy will be in my future and possibly specialists BUT, I am taking a new direction with my health that will be able to propel my fitness journey forward again.
I've been really upset with not being able to workout but now I'm seeing this as a blessing to be more conscious of my overall health.
I'm officially an NBA-lawyer now...
JK guys But you wanna hear how I used my lawyering skills to get an NBA client?
This guy was going through a tough personal issue and needed health coverage for a child in his family. He couldn't use his own coverage for contractual reasons, so his lawyers called me in to help him find a private solution.
After about 1,349 meetings and tons of work, everyone got the coverage they needed. And at an affordable rate!
I personally think this is exquisite parallel bar technique
Flexing a little in @jaanuubydrneela’s new Jeoflex scrubs. I’ll soon be giving away one pair (or maybe multiple 🤗😏) so one of you can also experience my new favorite scrubs. #jaanuucrew
