I love eggs 🍳 for the fact that they can be eaten at anytime of the day not only for breakfast. They can be eaten for lunch, dinner or even as a snack.
I will include veggies 🌶🥦 with every single meal I have. That is my main focus. Vegetables are so important as part of a healthy diet and provide a source of many nutrients, including potassium, fibre, folate (folic acid) and vitamins A, E and C. . —
Here is a simple breakfast that you can whip up in around 10 minutes.
What you will need:
3 whisked eggs 🍳 .
1 pepper I used ½ red and ½ green 🌶. Sliced mushrooms around 1 cup 🍄. 1 Spanish onion or red onion.
½ Avocado sliced 🥑. Salt and pepper to taste.
Oil - I used olive oil spray as it helps me control how much oil I use. —
1️⃣ Heat a skillet over medium heat and spray with oil. Add the onions and peppers and sauté for 4-5 mins until the veggies are soft and remove.
2️⃣ Add mushrooms and sauté for 2-3 mins and remove.
3️⃣ Spray some more oil wait for it to heat up and add the eggs. Let the eggs cook for about 1 minute until they begin to set. Push the eggs towards the centre of the pan and gently fold over
tilt pan slightly to allow the the liquids to cook through. Continue to do this until the eggs are cooked and transfer to plate. ∙I served mine with salt and pepper and added some sesame seeds on my avocado.
I love walking! Getting out for walks has been an essential part of my health and wellness journey over the last four years. Whether it’s 30 minutes around the neighbourhood, or a couple hours down at the river. Regardless of whether or not I have gotten my other workouts in, walking is what has kept me healthy and moving. .
With these two cute bums leading the way it’s so much easier to keep to a daily routine. Well at least until the temperature drops. Chloe and I are not fans of walking in the frigid winters of Alberta 😂😂😂

All words that I heard from a powerful & motivating speech today - and all of it resonated with me.
We tend to take on more problems and stress because we want to fix people, to help them, and to make their lives easier.
That’s cool. But what about our wellbeing? What about making ourselves a priority? Why take on others’ problems when we have not tackled our own mountains?
As a friend of mine says, we have to put our oxygen mask on first before we can assist others. ❤️. I’m currently losing the self doubting mindset, the pain, the emotional triggers & and all the “fun” stuff on my wellness journey, but I’m gaining so much more in return. Energy. Sleep. Self Confidence. Self Awareness. The ability to set boundaries and say “no”. Y’all I went to an event today and didn’t know a soul beforehand. Would I have done that a year ago? HELL NO. But I did today, and guess what? I met some incredible people and I truly believe I would not have been there if I had not put in the work 8 1/2 months ago and started this simply by switching my thought process about food and the way I ate.
Put in the work & the universe will answer ✨. All you have to is ask, be willing and go do the thing.

Tonight’s dinner was a must use up the mushrooms kind of throw together meal. Brown rice pasta w/sautéed mushrooms, onion, garlic, corn and baby spinach w/lemon juice, 1/4 cup of pasta water and a tablespoon of olive oil. Seasoned with ground pepper and smoked paprika. My house smells incredible and the combo was a keeper. Wishing I made more than a single portion. #brownricepasta
This past Saturday I woke up and saw a difference. It’s taken 4 weeks but I FINALLY saw a little change after all my hard work. The picture on the left was from about a week ago and the right was tonight. I can’t wait to keep comparing pictures!!! Even when we get discouraged, we HAVE to keep going.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE ME if I told you that I wore 50 spf my entire trip and this is a fake tan? shoutout to @sttropeztan for making me a sun safe golden goddess💋 ⠀
I was gone for over two weeks, so getting a professional spray tan before my trip wasn’t an option. I packed 2 types of foam self-tanner for my trip: (1) overnight tan and (2) rapid tan. I’d alternate btwn products depending on how much time I had.⠀
✨ bring exfoliation gloves! I would use these every other day to keep my tan looking fresh and even. buff out any areas that are starting to get spotchy. ⠀
✨ moisturize! keep your skin hydrated will extend the life of the tan. ⠀
✨ reapply every 2-3 days to keep your glow looking even. ⠀
✨ stick to the same manufacturer to reduce the risk of discoloration.⠀
☀️ what’s your fave self-tanner product out there? there’s a few new ones I’m dying to try (tagged on photo) #detox2retox 📸 @highselfiesteem
When you have a lagging body part, it's tempting to start training that muscle with a lot more volume to bring it up. Although this can help, the root cause of why you have a lagging body part in the first place may have something to do with your exercise form. If that's the case, fixing the form first makes more sense.
As you can imagine, if you subconsciously are swinging the weight too much when training something like your biceps or don't have much control over the weight, that reduces the training stimulus the muscle receives.
A practical way to force yourself to have more control over the weight is by performing isolation lifts like bicep curls & side delt raises seated. Also, slightly slowing down rep tempo can help since it minimizes the use of momentum. Just make sure your rep tempo is not extremely slow (8s+ per rep) since that can negatively impact muscle growth .
If you've improved your exercise form and still aren't seeing much progress over time, then you further increase the training volume to put more focus on the lagging body part.

I woke up this morning in a horrible mood. One of those ‘mad at everything and nothing at the same time for no real apparent reason’ kind of moods. I didn’t sleep well, then proceeded to sleep through my alarm, and then took a look at my to-do list and it felt impossible. So I stomped around and festered for hours, being thoroughly unproductive, which made me even more angry. It wasn’t a good headspace to be in. Finally I caught myself literally growling at my computer and decided I needed to do something about it. ✨
So I took a step back. I put down the computer, took a few deep breaths, and brewed myself a cup of tea. [The tea I love for bad days is @tradMedicinals ‘ Cup of Sunshine Tea- it has Kanna in it which is a plant with alkaloids that can help balance mood through serotonin maintenance.] Then I took out my journal and purged all the stuff that was bouncing around in my head. ✨
It is crazy how much mindset can affect your day- looking down at what I had written, I realized it wasn’t the end of the world like I had allowed myself to believe. Everything was achievable, and I could ask for help if I needed it. Plus, these two sweet fluffy angels are always there to support even when I have steam coming from my ears! We don’t deserve dogs. ✨
What do you do when your mindset is taking over your day? I’m always looking for new ways to reset!
