Spontaneity brought us to our national mountain day after our national "awakeners" and founders of the standard Slovak - Štúr, Hurban and Hodža back in 1841 - the mountain you can see on the Slovak eurocents - Kriváň 2494,7 m. a. s. l. I planned to climb up this hill and we just decided on the way... the climb was difficult but we did it and enjoyed our beautiful Slovakia... we always see him form the motorway and he always greets us with his glory, now we enjoyed walking on his back ❤️❤️❤️
Spontánnosť nás priviedla na náš národný vrch rovno počas národného výstupu :D na vrch, kde náši národní buditelia vyšli v roku 1841 a ktorý hrdo razíme na slovenské eurocentovky - Kriváň 💜 Plánovala som sem prísť, ale náhoda zvíťazila :) Bol to náročný výstup ale stal za to, pretože výhľady na naše krásne Slovensko boli na nezaplatenie ❤️ Vždy sa naň dívame z diaľnice a vždy nás zdraví svojou krivou krásou, no my sme si tentokrát vychutnali prechádzku jeho chrbtom 💜❤️💜 P. S. my nepotrebujeme výzvu ani dobyjat Tatry aby sme na ne vyšli :P #slovakmountains#Slovakia#slovenskehory#thisisslovakia#slovakgirl#slovakboy#krivan#Tatras#vysoketatry#instapic#beautifulmountains#neseddomanariti#happy#nationalmountain#hiking#turistikanaslovensku 🇸🇰 #turisti#stastnyturista#spokojnyturista#endorfiny

Question for you guys 👉🏼 Matt and I are traveling to the Catalonia region of Spain next month and we need some recommendations! It looks like we will be visiting Barcelona, Mallorca, and the Costa Brava area. If you’re a local or been there before, please share your tips for must-see places, where to eat, places to stay, best beaches/calas etc. ☺️🇪🇸☀️
Yesterday’s travellers were adventurers in search of the extraordinary, And that’s exactly what they found when they arrived by rail and horse-drawn coach to the shores of B.C.’s exquisite Emerald Lake – located in the heart of what is known today as Yoho National Park. Legendary guide Tom Wilson first stumbled across this small gem of a lake – famed for its jade-coloured waters – in 1882 during the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway. •
Sitting in the hospital showing my grandpa photos I’ve taken over the years... listening to his stories of travel and adventure. He grew up in the 1930’s in a house with no running water, no electricity. He worked in the education system for years, working to better our society, with a progressive mind in so many ways.
I’m asking him the hard questions. Advice he would give to his younger self. His wildest moments, his not proud moments. His realizations and his doubts.
He is still internally eaten up about a girl in the 1960’s who accused him of calling her fat—this is his character; the sweetest and kindest man. His level of compassion and care, the sharpness of his mind.
My heads in a million places dealing with so much grief this year. But as I talk more with him he makes me realize, more than anything, that people come and go. It’s not as much about who isn’t here anymore, as it is about celebrating the ones you have right now, for as long as you can.
