#tb to the time when @stephyeahhh@finlaythomson were still in Tasmania (please come back!) and went with me to Freycinet Nationalpark on the east coast and we hiked up Mt. Amos. Way up was scary and a bit slippery after the rain. Clumsy as I am I also lost my lense cap that just rolled down the hill - oopsie. .

Life is hard. Sometimes the challenges seem too much to bear. Nature became our refuge and place of healing. Out there we grew strong. Out there we are free. 🌲🗻🏞

Ende April. Neuer Start auf den Jakobsweg.
Dann heißt es auch für mich "ich bin dann mal weg". Für den 7. mal nach Santiago.
Srarten in Pieterburen in Norden der Niederlande, nach Santiago. Ca. 3.100 km.
We are connected to nature from deep within us, and that is why it is such a place of healing and rejuvenation when we return there. You don't need to go far - you just need to go! 🗻⛰🏞🌲🌏❤

The number of local hiking trails is a bonus to living in Sydney’s Hills area.
Last week I got to be the on-camera guide for @ryanpyle and his crew on the Holy Ridge on behalf of @discovery_seasia@traveltaiwansg 's upcoming Expedition Asia series. Little did I know that I would be sharing so much camera time with Ryan en trek, and even sneaking one or two solo clips myself. Perfect weather, thrilling hiking/bouldering/scrambling, and all-around great trekking buddies--we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you to @ryanpyle@chadingraham@jesse_rosenberg for working with us, to @taiwanadventures@neilwade and @rst10000 for the reference and for letting me (unfairly) take all the on-camera credit, and to #雲豹登山隊 for the expert portering and catering on this extremely difficult terrain. So many awesome photos from this trek to post. Look out for the series release, coming September 2020!

This is from the Fourth of July weekend🎉🎉🎉 I did not take Friday off but we did tons of fun things! We went to discovery park and then saw the fireworks from marina. On Saturday we went to the north cascades and I think we hiked a trail called cascade pass trail. I really liked it! It was one of the prettiest hikes ever! And you get to walk on snow. On Sunday we went to the San Juan islands and went on a kayaking tour! We did not see any orcas but saw other wildlife and kelp. We also had a nice picnic lunch at the island we kayaked to. It was cold but very fun. And we also had a lot of Thai food. Idk why but I’m super into Thai food right now. Specifically pad see ew. The first pic is the turmeric coconut noodle soup from sen noodle bar. The second pic is shrimp sen Yai hang from pung kang noodle place in Queen Anne. Both were good but I especially liked the second place!!
Reposted from @vengoingplaces - Meals during hike doesn't have to be in can or preserved ones. They can be fresh, home-made and cooked at camp. When I was starting to hike, I always brought with me one or two san marino in can, a mix of tuna and rice or korean instant noodles to fill the meal which isn't included on my hike organizer's inclusions. Doing DIY's and being with guys who can cook full meals is such a blessing. This time it's sir Abe's cooking I enjoy. We fondly call him lolo but he's not, it's just that he's from the 80's generation of mountaineers.
