This is Ziggy. Ziggy is from the Ozark mountain region. He was born in a pen and lived there until he was a year old. That's when the groomer who owned him turned him over to a kill shelter. He had 24 hours to find a home or be euthanized. Luckily for us, he was adopted by a rescue group, brought to Lagrangeville and immediately adopted into his forever home.
Ziggy spent the first year of his life in a small pen. He had no idea what stairs were, what a couch was, and being snuggled terrified him. 9 years later he's still not a big fan of most of the world, but stairs, couches and snuggles are always welcome.
Happy National Rescue Dog day Hudson Valley! Ziggy says hi.
