Thunderstorms are in the forecast for my drive today. Here’s a shot of the Airstream soon after one thunderstorm rolled through the area. How do you plan for travel while potential severe weather could be in your path? What is your go to for weather information? Any favorite weather apps?
First day of school ✅
I’m ridiculously excited for this term of school as I dive deeper into the field of psychology 📚
In other news, this incredible “denim” swing dress sold out in a hot minute in my Facebook group... should I restock? 😍
Every year my goal is to grow enough garlic to see our family through until the next harvest, and every year I come up short. I guess we just like garlic.
I was pleased with the softneck variety we grew this year (Nootka Rose) but not as impressed with the hardneck (Killarney Red). Getting ready to order my seed garlic for next season. Any favorite varieties to recommend??
Two years ago today, we were in Weiser, Idaho, for the Great American Eclipse, one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The weather was perfect (why we chose Idaho) and the crowds were lively but not overwhelming (also why we chose Idaho). It's impossible to describe the feeling of seeing a total eclipse, but if you ever have the chance, DO IT, even if it means traveling.
In these pics (which of course can't truly capture what it looked and felt like), you can see how the sky changed over the course of the eclipse. #2 was taken an hour before totality, shortly after the eclipse began; #3 about half an hour before; and #4 about 3 minutes afterward. In #4 , that purple haze on the horizon? That's the shadow of the moon racing across the landscape.🤯🤓 I'll do a followup post with a closeup.

Loved the feeling of being so so small, in a big beautiful world.
