This man sat in the jazz cafe, read comics and drank coffee for some time. I felt lucky to stumble upon such an interesting subject in my travels. I wonder how much Japan has changed in his lifetime. The owner told me this particular cafe has been here over 40 years. You could tell some of the knick-knacks, including model WW2 fighter jets and jazz posters, hanging on the ceilings and walls were at least that old. The cafe’s name, “Mañana,” obviously translates to tomorrow in Spanish. I kept thinking that “Tomorrow” will only ever exist in the future but I’d do just about anything to go back in time and have a coffee here in the past.
