After two weeks off from running, this four mile run felt slow, but so good! Also completed workout 27 done before a fun day with the family! Post workout meal never tasted so good after today's workouts 😊
1st day of #streetparking and started with some jello making lunges! First ever wod as well, but only half cause I had Kaylies cheer showcase this morning. LIIFT4 WK5 LEGS 50/50! I'm kinda wondering if Joel is a little cray-cray... 🙄🙄🙄 This one was BRUTAL! After all the heavy weights(50, 20s, 30s) on front-loaded squats, goblet sumo, deadlifts, calf raises, side lunges, and reverse lunges... he takes it to a new level during the HIIT portion... 60 seconds of fast-feet Burpees, 45 seconds of sumo squat jumps, then 30 seconds of TRIPLE BEARS... OMG! 💦💦🔥🔥 He's so cruel!

Everyone needs a pair of these in their closet!! @ptulaactive knocked it out of the park again!! These leggings were amazing for a sweaty leg day and a dog walk! They have pockets which is helpful when your walking three dogs and need a place for your phone 🤪 they come in a few colors but obviously black is a staple in my wardrobe! I was happy my hubs @cabanaboy_4 Was there so I could go heavy on the squats today! Which he did have to save me once 🤷🏻♀️
Now who is going to go to work for me because my legs are broken. @fit_for_the_line no foot chases!
A little before and after my day 17/100. Serious work in under 30 minutes. Not sure I'll be able to walk later, but it's worth it... I'm worth it... And so are you.

I felt that deep in my soul! I certainly didn't this morning. I even rationed with myself that I would do something after work. Completely forgetting that I have plans after work and will have no time. I'm exhausted, I just started my time of the month and I have the worse cramps and very little energy. But I knew if I skipped I'd be disappointed and it honestly wouldn't be worth it. So, the next time you feel like quitting, don't. Think about how grateful your future self will be and just do it. An hour (or however much time you can donate) isn't so hard in the grand scheme of it all that's less than 4% of your day.
Nice try, little one! He came over, commented on how big my weights were, then "joined me" for squats and deadlifts before going back to his reading 😂 I love the reminder that he's always watching and learning from my habits! Late bedtime and early alarm = temptation to stay in bed and skip working out. Reliable friends to work out with + @andrewsuchlabbc leg day = worth getting out of bed. I am so happy I had the chance to bust through this killer leg day with @eeyore6209, Dawn and Sheila! We make a great team! .
Happy Tuesday! The efforts we make to invest in ourselves pay dividends that last a lifetime. Getting to the gym when you want to stay in bed builds determination. Pushing forward when staying in place is easier builds discipline. Trying new things when we are doubtful or afraid builds strength of mind. Trusting the process, with all of its ups and downs builds faith in our abilities. These are things that will keep us going even when life seems tough. So, step up, dig deep and invest in yourself. You can do it!
Thank the Lord for friends that give me grace. I totally could have given up on this hike before finishing. I would have been so bummed if I had. Thankfully, my girls kept encouraging me, pacing me, cheering me on. And we made it to the crazy view at the top of #kokohead What an amazing life with amazing people to share it with. Baby legs putting in some work! This is just week 1 day 2 of training 😂 Guess what?!?! I actually love front squat A LOT MORE than back squat. However, my goal is to back squat 200# and front squat (?) at the end of this year 😅 #backsquat#frontsquat#jellolegs
Didn’t work out the end of last week. Instead I got on the ice for the first time in 18 years. Justin from Mull-IT has been playing is whole life, so he was gracious enough to run some drills with me to help knock some of the rust off. After an hour and a half on the ice, my legs felt like jello. After the drills I tried skating one set of lines, and that is where I learned my legs had, in fact, had enough. Next time, I will try two sets at the end. Ill show my legs who is boss. .
Temperatures range from 98 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on how far you are from the thermal wellspring. I was close. Probably too close. My legs were scalded. I felt grateful to be tall enough to avoid the imagined risk of heat-induced infertility. I sweated from every pore. Any soreness melted away. I was left dehydrated, panting—my heart beating like the wings of a hummingbird. I laid up on the embankment like a half boiled frog. The cooling wind settled my heart rate. Eventually I sat up. Stood up. Walked. Had my first day at Burn Boot Camp & it kicked my ass but I LOVED every minute of it! I may be moving a little slower because my legs legit still feel like jello but I’m looking forward to going back tomorrow! It feels good to get back on track!
