what’s one of your bad habit? 🤔 I would say mine is slow replies or not replying to messages.... HAHAHA I used to reply immediately ok when I was younger, but I always feel anxious when people don’t reply me fast enough & I’ll keep checking the messages & one day I just decided that’s it’s unhealthy I should stop doing that & I off-ed my notifications. & bam now... it’s stuck w me for life HAHAH ok kinda a lame story

13 Days of Nourishment
Day 6: Journaling "I try to put pen to paper every day, even those days when I don't feel I have anything to say. In fact, the times I don't feel like writing are often when I need it the most. When I have a million thoughts buzzing through my brain & they're all scattered & disjointed & they don't seem worth recording. But that's the whole point of the exercise: just write whatever comes.
Most of what I write is not "worth recording" in the sense of being profound or important to anyone but me – it's not for anyone but me. I do wonder sometimes what others might think if they read my journals... That I'm criminally repetitive, I'd guess. I tend to spend a lot paper feeling tired or overwhelmed or uninspired or any of the many variations on that theme.
However, I do think it's helpful in those moments to admit how I feel & to explore or at least acknowledge the underlying causes & all the associated emotions of that state. Since no human would want to or should have to hear about it as often as I experience it, the journal is the perfect audience. The ideal venue for a rant or a lament or even a celebration I'm not ready to share with others.
And having that record, being able to go back & revisit connections I've made or questions I've asked in the past gives me invaluable perspective in the present. As repetitive as my problems may seem, they never write themselves in quite the same way.
So my recommendation to everyone who has taken the time to read this is to keep your own journal. Try to write something every day. Try it for a week. Keep a notebook by your bed & first thing in the morning, or right before sleep, write out at least one page of whatever comes to mind, without judgement or agenda. And if you are struggling to begin, try using a prompt like, "Today I noticed," or "Right now I feel," to kick off your entries. Maybe you'll be surprised by what flows." ~ Lynnie Beaumont
Summer isn't over yet! It's been over 100 degrees all this week here in AZ. Drinking a lot of water helps and thank goodness for air conditioning.
