Workplace burnout, stress and anxiety is so real! Did you know that one in 5 Aussies haven’t taken any annual leave in the last 12 months and that 30% say that they experience burnout? Not only does this have a negative effect on your work productivity but it drastically effects your mental health. I’ve recently been experiencing a fair bit of stress, work burnout and anxiety and know just how important it is to take time for yourself away from work, and the consequences of what happens when you don’t. Which is why I recently took a week off, went down south and did nothing but rest and rejuvenate. As a result, my mental wellbeing improved and I came back to work feeling refreshed.
Today is the start of @skyscanner Book a Holiday Week and I’m working with them to encourage Aussies to pledge their annual leave with me this week and book in to take a well-earned break before the end of the year. Skyscanner has surveyed Australians to discover what the 5 best holiday types are to destress from work. My pick this year is the relaxation holiday and I hope you’ll join me in finding inspiration for your own holiday by jumping on the link in my bio to check out Skyscanner’s Book A Holiday Week recommendations.
At “Wacky Stays” in Kaikoura, NZ you can stay in a covered wagon, train car, yurt or truck and get two hours of farm animal time. (All the animals were amazing but Hank and Marmalade the pigs were rock stars.) #wackystays#kaikoura#farmanimals
I have to give a massive thank you to the crew of @whalewatchkaikoura for taking us on an incredible tour to see some of Earth's most beautiful creatures. Seasickness aside, one of the most awesome things I've ever experienced.
