Que bueno sería si todos nos informamos de las fuentes adecuadas y dejamos de creer en los medios, los "estudios científicos" (pagados por las farmacéuticas claro), la propaganda basura que nos atropella día a día y nos volvemos conscientes de lo que le estamos suministrando a nuestras poderosas maquinas. 🥩🧀🥚🥑🥥🍫

So today is my 32 birthday. I don't do too much celebrating so I figured I would celebrate with you guys, my customers. Keto, Low Carb, High Carb, Vegan, Carnivore, etc etc etc; as many different diets as there are stars in the damn sky, it feels like. The problem with it, I feel like, is that it makes people feel like a hyper -specific ‘diet’ is the only road to success when people are trying to make changes in their life and lose weight, get healthier, or whatever their goals may be. ESPECIALLY when they’ve done a particular diet in the past and had some initial success with it. But these giant, all at once, strict changes usually are UNSUSTAINABLE for most people. Motivation wanes, or their response isn’t as good anymore, and they fall off. Only to re-initiate the cycle of guilt, negative emotion surrounding their relationship with food, health, and their body. But the secret is, all of these diets operate on the same basic PRINCIPLES; understand the principles, and you free yourself from the cycle.
Ultimately, the reason all these diets can work is because they’re altering your ENERGY BALANCE (quantity- calories in vs calories out) and your NUTRIENT BALANCE (quality- vitamins, minerals, etc etc etc). That’s it. QUALITY and QUANTITY. Really, that’s pretty much it 🤷🏻♂️. And don’t let anyone tell you only one of those is important; you can lose or gain weight only paying attention to macros and calories, but neglecting quality leads to rough places. You may feel better on keto, but you still have to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight.
I’m not interested in short-term, lose X amount of pounds in 8 weeks meal plans. I’m not interested in contributing to societies view of food and health as a stressful, difficult, job-like thing. I’m not interested in perpetuating the toxic culture that exists around lifestyle, health, fitness, and strength. I *am* interested in teaching PRINCIPLES, in helping people gain UNDERSTANDING of how to navigate these things and build HABITS that can support their LIFESTYLE, so they can DO THE THINGS THEY WANT TO DO, and FEEL THE WAY THEY WANT TO FEEL; one step at a time. It doesn’t have to be stressful. It doesn’t have to be one giant change.
Eat better, move better, feel better. Food for thought 💭

On that note, it's funny how life works. So much can change in such little time. Or nothing can change. Guess what? We are in control of it all. We can be living life on a fixed mindset - accepting things for what they are, and have life take us by storm. Or, we can see things in a growth mindset - accepting challenges, taking risks, initiating change.
If you're not happy. BE happy. Do what makes you HAPPY. If you're not where you want to be financially, or physically - today's the day to start. It took me 2 years to lose my pregnancy weight, while going back to school to start a new career, while dealing with postpartum issues, raising a daughter, being a loyal and loving partner, and running a household. You're never too busy. You're never too old. It is never too late to start.
Be bold. Face your fears. Live life on your terms.
Trying to jump back on the keto wagon after falling off hard earlier this year. I need to continue to use this account for motivation and inspiration. One week back at it and already down 3lbs! Breakfast today was some scrambled eggs, arugula, bacon, and kale brussel sprout slaw. Yum!! .
I don't fry my wings, mostly because it's never a guarantee if it'll be crispy enough or not. Throw them in some oil then I use an array of spices that don't make any sense right now but that's okay. I made these a few days ago with tasty tasty gochujang sauce (only 1T, lemon juice, water, 1t of honey). 💜😘💜 I'll be recording my weight loss along with postings of cooking, singing and maybe dancing? #keto

Things are finally starting to get balanced again! 🎉 In the past week, I left a job that was mentally SO toxic for me and finally got rid of our Calabasas house and OC apartment! Having 2 homes sounds a lot better than it actually is! Those 3 things combined caused SO much stress in the last month! I’m happy to start falling back into my normal mental health routine. So I have been having a rough couple of weeks mentally with my #weightlossjourney . This happens I know but it is frustrating on top of the fact that I am stuck in a yo-yo of up and down a few pounds each week. I have days that I feel bloated and as big as ever and I have days that I feel the thinnest I have ever been. It’s hard to focus on the latter some days bc my brain has been programmed that I will forever be over weight. Physically I’m the smallest I have been in years but mentally I fight everyday with myself about making the right choices. It’s a daily struggle, it probably always will be. But then I find a shirt that I haven’t worn in probably over a year and put it on and remember I took a pic in it the last time I tried to lose weight this is the result! This is 2016 vs 2019! This is why I like taking pictures of this journey! Even though I have had a rough few weeks this shows that it isn’t over! I just have to keep pushing and keep telling myself I am so far from where I started. The perfect blueberry muffin from @keto.connect Just LOOOOVE this recipe. It’s a great breakfast option and keeps me full all morning Recipe:
2 tbsp Coconut flour
1/2 tsp Baking powder
25 grams Fresh Blueberries
2 tbsp Cream Cheese
1 tbsp Butter
15-20 drops Liquid Stevia
1 large Egg
1/4 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt
Add the butter and cream cheese to a mug and microwave for 20 seconds. Mix with a fork.
Add the baking powder, coconut flour and stevia and combine with fork.
Add the egg and combine.
Add the salt and fresh blueberries, and gently combine. Microwave for 2 minutes.
Flip over onto a plate or eat right out of the mug. Dust with powdered erythritol, if desired and enjoy! #ketorecipe#keto#ketorecipes#mugcake#lowcarb#lowcarbrecipes

Just because you do not eat 100% organic, grass fed everything, does not make you exempt from doing a keto diet. You are still welcome here.
I will never judge anyone for eating fast food bun-less burgers. If that’s what you need to do to make keto sustainable, please do that! I’m willing to put money on it that your food choices will evolve over time. You will start to recognize that you feel the best with cleaner ingredients, and you will most likely phase out the fast food and dirty ingredients.
Keto is all about achieving the metabolic state of ketosis. It’s up to you to decide what foods will do that for you.
Start where you are. Do not try and flip your whole world upside down when starting keto. You need to adapt it to YOUR lifestyle, not the other way around. I find that when you approach it this way, it’s 1000% more sustainable.
