You know the little things that catch your eye and make you linger, step back, blink in awe, transport your thoughts. These are the little things in Bruges that did just that. A front door that sent my imagination on fire as to what could be on the other side (yep, syfy/ fantasy fan), antique swan whose layers held secrets lost over time, a lion who made me laugh and wish I could meet the artist, the most beautiful mood lighting right at my finger tips (Pand Hotel), a delicious atypical cappuccino accompaniment, a “basket” big enough for June (oh what fun we’d have June & I on that bicycle), groupings of items at antique stores that gave me goosebumps of deja vu, the exquisite aging of a wood carving, juxtaposition (looking up on the fairytale pathway covered in flowers to see the stark web of tree branches seeping in mystery).
Exploring the amazing @devilsdenspring near Ocala - it’s a natural prehistoric sinkhole that goes 50ft down into underwater caves, and you can go explore it by scuba diving - if you are scuba certified...
The Grampians is a hiker's paradise, with plenty of trails of varying difficulties throughout the national park. Under construction is the Grampians Peak Trail, due to be completed in late 2020. When finished, the trail will lead right through the 400,000 acre national park, taking 13 days to complete.
In the meantime there are dozens of existing hiking trails in the Grampians, ranging from easy short walks to more challenging climbs.
Click on the link in our bio to read our complete guide to the Grampians.
When someone said, "We travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us."... I felt that.

The secret from the river is that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future. #findwhatyouloveny

When you’ve hiked 25 miles with blisters on your feet...you’re a hot, sweaty, frizzy mess who hasn’t showered in three days and everything starts to smell like bug spray...and you feel like a puffy little sausage because of high elevation swelling...but you just don’t care because everything that makes you smile is right in front of you! 🤗

How sad it is that time should pass
Her Majesty, the hourglass
We take the sand of bygone years
And make mud of it with all our tears
What is now compared to then
And will I ever love again?
The answer to the answer brings

It’s officially wedding weekend for us! We have about 20 hours of driving planned out for the next few days - wishing we could cruise around in this adorable Fiat, but our SUV is loaded with camera gear and luggage for the long weekend ahead. We’ve already caught up on our favorite podcasts, so we’d love to hear some recommendations for good podcasts or music. What have you been listening to lately? #destinationweddingphotographers#travelphotographers

Despite preparation, elevation sickness has been kicking our ass, especially Jason. It’s affecting me, too, but it’s also coupled with all the issues I’ve had like traveling in a much more weakened state & list of chronic symptoms like my stomach, not being able to sleep & lack of appetite. I’ve barely slept & can’t eat much, like in Mexico City & at home. The months-to-year long lack of appetite is concerning & still getting tested. Last night was the first decent sleep I’ve had on this trip. I’m not sure why I can’t sleep, no matter how or what I try. It’s been awful but somehow it’s me who has the energy to push us forward.
I’m surprised how I can handle what I do under such conditions. I should be dead, laying on the ground somewhere. But I’ve always been adaptive & tough with high endurance & maybe this is my saving grace. Maybe the ticking clock gives me the fortitude. Maybe seeing something new provides the wind in my sails. Maybe this is who I am without this debilitating condition & it’s me fighting back. .
People only see a snapshot — a scenery or me smiling but they don’t see everything leading up to it & in between - the very problem with social media, except I at least try to be honest about my reality. I always tell Jason I wished we had a camera following us so people could really see what we face every day. It would be a surprise but it’s our daily reality. There is a barrier to overcome all the time, more than most couples. .
Like yesterday morning at the train station to Machu Picchu when we almost weren’t able to board the train; the only way to get to Machu. It’s a very long harrowing tale that included tears and possibly not being able to do what I came here for. I’ll tell when I have more energy but we made it & had the most beautiful 3.5 hour relaxing train ride. We are in Aguas Calientes, most beautiful serene small town at entrance of Machu & no longer have elevation sickness. We will climb Machu this morning with a team of assistants. .
This kind of life is not for the weak but it’s worth it. We both agree trying to live is important in surviving this disease. #kamswheelstravel
I promise you had a purpose before you were wasting most of your time on social media. 💣
Yes, I just want you to encourage you to listen to yourself and find what makes you better, and your goals in life... so then you can use social media as a tool that will help you reach your dreams. 🔥 I want to be honest with you, SOCIAL MEDIA CAN EITHER HELP YOU BECOME A BETTER PERSON OR IT CAN DESTROY YOU. THE TIME THAT YOU SPEND ON IT MATTERS. Put limits to it. Of course it is normal to spend some time on it just for fun, that’s totally fine, the problem comes when you somehow spend 4+ hours on it without really doing anything productive. Instead, you could schedule some time to add value to your community, learn something new, look for inspiration, or engage and show love to those people close to you, because there is no point on being connected in a social media network when we don’t even start real conversations. ✨ Stop consuming content from others all day like a ghost. It is time for you to start using this amazing technology to advance in life and to show the world what you have to say, because you are special, and I am sure you have something important to share with us. 🖤
Can you believe that a girl who’s job is based on social media is saying this to you? I just want more people to focus on being their best selfs, and not wishing to have the “life” they see others show on the internet. I believe in a world in which everyone is living their best life. Let’s use this channel to connect, to be active, to engage with people that add value to our life, but also to share our own unique value with others. 🍀
Now, what is your daily time on Instagram? Mine is 1h 59m and I work with this… what’s yours and how are you going to use it in a more productive way? 👏🏼

Have you ever gotten a full nights sleep and still woken up feeling exhausted? Is it something that happens regularly? Do you feel like you just can’t seem to catch up? I feel you.
I have always been the queen of burning myself to the ground... that whole “rest when you are dead” mentality... and then I got diagnosed with hashimotos and the reality of what I’d been doing all those years had caught up to me.
I know on this app it looks like I am constantly on the go... like I’m always pushing myself and finding new edges... and in a lot of ways I am, but I’ve actually slowed way down this year and become way more intentional with my energy.
I’m home in Colorado today for literally one day before I head back out on my next trip and you know what I did today? Mellow yoga, a facial, and acupuncture. I intentionally used today as a way to rest and restore before I leave again. I’ve also incorporated intentional rest every day in the form of at least 30 mins yoga nidra (which is a deeply restorative yoga practice). I don’t do a million things in one day anymore either. I might do yoga or hike or climb but not all three and if I do a big day I take 1-2 days after to rest.
It’s easy to take these bodies for granted when things are going well but as much as we like to think we are, we are not made like the energizer bunny. Rest is soooo essential. It took me getting an autoimmune condition to really acknowledge that. What about you? What are your favorite ways to rest and restore? (Photo by @evan_soroka)

@cosmokoala - There is only one steep trail that leads to this part of the famous Brienzergrat in the Swiss Alps. As the trailhead lies on the northern side of the ridge, it is barely getting any direct sunlight which slows down the melting process of the snow from the last winter season. It will still take a few months until this part is safely accessible on hiking trips, but I am already looking forward to it today. #earthoutdoors
