Only had a fiver in my purse and Jaxson wanted a magazine for 4.99. We got it and Jaxson started looking at the 1p change. When we got home he disappeared to his room then came down, cuddled me and slipped a pound from his money box in my hand "because I spent all your money" ❤😫😍

This one had a great joint birthday party with his friend this afternoon! His birthday isnt until next week but we wanted to capture the kids before they were off on summer hols. It was chaos and I was unacceptably hungover but it was totally worth it xxx
My darling you are a pink peony in this swamp of dandelions 🌸
Being greeted by my favourites with this bunch of blooms melted my heart! Nothing makes my heart flutter quite like peonies and and although I always hate when peony season is over, every year I wonder would I love them as much if I had them in the house all year round? Often we take for granted the things we always have- maybe that’s what makes the peony so special to me. 🤷🏼♀️🌸💓

This mama and daddy are leaving behind this sweet little gremlin (who is cutting a molar and has been in rare form the last day and a half) with his Honey and Papi for the first time tonight. Here are some sweet little moments from last night after he took a 2 hour evening nap (which he hasn’t done in months) and insisted on helping Dad save our dying grass. 🖤🦷
Our garden struggle has been real. But a lot of determination and some luck has turned into a few small harvests. Sadly the green beans haven't been that great but we are on the verge of more cucumbers than we can handle. Woohoo! #mypeanutadventures
Happy Saturday beautiful friends! Today is gorgeous - not a cloud in the sky - and we have been busy bees. Feels good to wake up and go. We’ve biked/walked to the ball field to visit friends, cleaned the house, grocery shopped, and now we’re headed to the gym. .
While we were in the Tim Hortons drive thru we decided to pay for the car behind ours’ order. It felt good to anonymously do something for a stranger and it was a great teaching moment re. kindness and spreading joy with the girls. I will definitely be doing this more. .
Are you really living if you aren’t eating 3 suckers at once?!🤣🍭

I just love this photo. My garden baby playing with the earth, with the āina. So curious and intrigued by the seemingly insignificant twigs and blades of grass. Happy with just that. Baby’s content, mama’s satisfied. 🌿

“I love telling Dad jokes...sometimes he laughs” 😂
What’s your favorite dad joke?
•The Simple Things•
If only finding happiness as an adult was as easy as running into a paddling pool 💦
The simple joys of a 3 year old are something to be admired really, she can find happiness in anything she does, so carefree and excited about things us grown ups wouldn’t even think about doing.. I think we should all think more like a 3 year old sometimes, the world would be a happier place that’s for sure! 🌼

A Daughter is God’s way of saying, I thought you could use a life long friend 💖
1. Respect me.
Honor my voice and include me in decisions regarding my activities, my environment, and my day-to-day life.
2. Listen to me.
Allow me an endless means of emotional expression and keep the lines of communication between us nonjudgmental and always, always open.
3. Encourage me.
Help me to explore my interests through my own natural, bursting senses of curiosity and creativity. Provide me the tools, time, and space to dig into those passions.
3. Trust me.
Offer me the opportunity to set my own goals, and lend me your watchful patience as I fulfill them at my own unique pace.
5. Free me.
Be my partner, guide, and mentor, rather than leader. Reveal to me the value in everyday responsibility. Let me lead the way as I grow toward a more confident and independent me.
To empower my child. I am realizing this as my ultimate goal as a parent. It is larger than life and life-changing.
Whilst looking up this topic— how to empower my child— I found it interesting that most resources and articles on this subject are only written within the context of school. “How to Empower Your Child for a Success School Year,” etc, etc, etc. I decided to write my own list, just to skim the surface of this idea. Then I took a step back to notice, unsurprised, how NONE of this fits into the context of traditional school. The approach to education where you learn to fit within, to conform, and if you fit outside of that box, you are defective. An estimated 3.5 million children in the US are on some form of ADHD medication, ultimately in the effort to fit into the mold and be squeezed through the system. I believe whole heartedly that an education should fit the specs of a child, not the reverse. I am not just one of many mothers, but a pupil of countless educators who have left a failed system to bring hope to a better way, and bring that power back to the family- but most importantly the child. Empowered children radiate life. They scour it for truth and joy. They think critically. They shift patterns and inspire. They become explorers, creators, mentors, entrepreneurs, game changers, advocates, whole individuals. #consciousparenting#childledlearning
Imagine this mama’s surprise when they handed over her sweet girl for the first time — in this onesie. 😱🎉❤️ Congratulations to these parents on the birth of Phenyx AND their engagement.

I sometimes wonder how I ever lived a life before this little girl was born. It’s so funny how a 14 month old can be my best friend. Also this @parentingchildrenlondon hooded towel is the cutest & softest thing ever. Happy Saturday everyone!

Barefoot & crazy...me & my baby.☺️👶🏼🎶 #ad Hard to believe our little mover & shaker will be a one-year-old in just a couple of weeks!!😲🎂 Chasing her around for the last few weeks has given me a little taste of what we’re in for during her toddler years.😆👶🏼💨 Luckily, these cozy chic new @crocs sandals make my feet feel as close to barefoot as can be, and I have a feeling they’ll be on repeat allll summer long.☀️👣 #everlyaustingreen#SummerOfCrocs 📸 by @angiegarciaphoto ✨
