It was a very exciting evening at our house! Daughter #3@articulate_diana made this gorgeous cake “just because I saw these cute gum balls and I had to use them!” It turned out to be a gender reveal for daughter #1@sarahmariannel and @leftocean17 . Completely took me off-guard! Then we all went outside so they could do this fun reveal for Ivan’s family in Mexico! So much fun! We are so happy for our third grandchild to come in January 2020! 💙 #genderreveal#soblessed#threegrandsons#lifeisgood
Al miedo le encanta robar sue;os. Desde los 15 a;os permití que hiciera con los míos lo que quisiera, no entendía la veracidad que existe detrás de la frase: ‘Del otro lado de los miedos, esta la vida.
It is weekends like this that makes one realize that life is good. I had a full weekend surrounded by the people that I love the most, and for this I am blessed. Watching the sun set and picking wildflowers was the perfect way to end this wonderful weekend! 🌾
We often hear about the power of day one, and are told that getting started is the key to success. But really, the hardest and most vital thing is to keep going. That’s the part that requires grit and determination. You’re in the driver’s seat. A lot of this is mental- we expect perfection from ourselves, then quit when shit gets hard. You have to be willing to SUCK for awhile before you can be GOOD at what you do. Nobody is fundamentally excellent or mediocre. Where you are in your life is a result of your habits. We are what we repeatedly do. It’s the routine and rituals of our day to day lives that lead us to excellence. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. That’s also true for the opposite of excellence. Mediocrity is a result of mediocre habits. The good news is that we can go from mediocrity to excellence — by changing our habits. Before trying to adopt a new habit, ask yourself this: “Will doing this improve the quality of my life?” For a new habit to stick, we need a reason to change. And it can’t just be a superficial reason. Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. It starts with you. And it ends with you. And everything in between is YOU.
