This couch is exactly where I’ll be, recovering from what is either a serious cold, or my allergies reminding me just how allergic I am to summer 🤧 and resting.
Ben even picked up my favorite vegan soup — @rightfoods — so I’m hoping for a speedy recovery! ❤️

All my packages come with complimentary archival quality fine art prints of the digital images you choose, tied with hand-dyed silk ribbon and packaged in a keepsake box. It may be old school but you can’t frame a USB: these are truly memories to last a lifetime literally for generations to come.
Is it better to post late and briefly than not at all? Asking for a friend.... I’ve had drafts half-done so many times this past week and then only got round to posting at midnight’ish by which time I’d decide it was #dafttodraft and better to post the next day. And so the cycle continued.... Yours, late, short but with good intentions ... x
Mmmmm, apple pick’n today! Fresh applesauce is on its way! 🍏

We ended our Italian trip happy and in love in Venice 🇮🇹 The city is built with buildings facing the water, so the most beautiful views are via gondola. At least that’s what I’ve been told.. Boz refused to pay $80 for a “tourist trap,” so I don’t actually know 😹😭 Have any of you experienced Venice via gondola? Is it worth it?

Why must they grow so fast 😭 I don’t want another child, but looking back on photos makes me rethink 🧡 I wish they stayed newborns for longer.
"Nije tajna da su najljepše stvari na svijetu sakrivene od očiju slučajnih prolaznika. Tek kada se prepustiš životu on se pred tobom sam razotkrije, poput školjke na pješčanoj plaži. Nemoj se brinuti o tome koji je tvoj sljedeći potez.
Neka se život dogodi.
Uživaj u neznanju onoga sto ti dolazi.
Divlje žene svakom susretu i svakoj riječi daju svoj tajni smisao." 🌸

I’m still getting a ton of update messages, so I thought I’d share details on my personal account as well. A few weeks ago my body went into labor, and we lost our baby girl. This season is one of the hardest season for our family, but the community surrounding us has made it that much easier. So, THANK YOU. Thank you for loving us so well. Thank you for praying for us. We definitely feel and see your love. ♥️
Can’t believe this is my last week of summer break. I’m spending time getting my room finished, but also making sure that I take time to enjoy the last few days with the kids before we all jump back into the crazy busyness the school year brings. #momlife#teacherlife
Want to grow? Do something different from everyone else. So something that you are scared of.
Honestly, almost anything worthwhile in my life has come from over-coming some sort of fear. Maybe your fear is showing up as yourself on social media… Or maybe it’s fear of starting your own business, switching careers, confrontation with others or something else.
It’s ok to feel fear… As long as you don’t stay there. Take the initiative to recognize, reflect, and re-focus.
We are so happy to be introduce Freya into the TGIY family! This sweet girl is a Maine Coon mix who was rescued from a family who couldn't care for her properly. Thankfully, the owners knew that Amber cannot resist a cat in need, and asked her to step in.
Freya is beginning to adjust to her new home, but is still unsure about the other cats in her new family. Ziggy and Pooh Bear are being good sports, and we're sure Freya will warm up to them soon. Is this girl adorable or what?
Where we live, we don’t get many of these animals. So I love the ostheimer animals that introduces new words to my children’s vocabulary. I think Ostheimer definitely has the best range for this!
Do you like collecting animals that your child is familiar with or that are rare?

Visiting Italy has felt a lot like falling in love for the first time— the food, the wine, the sights, the culture, and the lifestyle. So much of which, physically and mentally, I hope to take back with me to America.
Three things I admire about the Italian lifestyle:
1. Eat good food and drink good wine, SLOWLY. Seriously- good food is a no brainer. And, it isn’t processed the way it is in America. But more importantly, they treat meal time as a space to connect with loved ones and enjoy the food in a more mindful way- not something to rush through.
2. A strong sense of community and family value. It’s amazing- we watched so many just stand outside their doors, and greeted their neighbors with such kind and welcoming faces. The Italians bestowed a sense of community onto myself and my family the second we walked in their hotel doors and when navigating each city- ensuring we were dropped off at our train terminals because we couldn’t speak a lick of Italian. Just offering help and assistance without expecting anything in return.
3. A commitment to history and culture. The cities were a work of art of themselves, and each person talked about the way people have worked to restore and maintain the original architecture, and spoke of their city with such pride and also a willingness to learn from the past.
Why is this important? Because, I believe that we all need a soft (or loud) reminder to slow down. Lean into a sense of community. Offer help without any expectation for reciprocation or accolade. And, remember that sometimes- there, too, can be beauty in restoration. ✨
Someone else's success is not your failure.
I can think of two reasons this is hard to remember (though I'm sure there are many others!)
1) We live in a masculine competition-driven society
2) We have the ability to compare ourselves to friends, family, peers, and influencers via social media 24/7.
When we look outside our own journey and start focusing on what others are doing, fear and ego take control. We see other people's success and abundance and start to think that there's not enough to go around.
We start to perceive abundance in others as a lack (or failure) in ourselves, and it can lead to some icky feelings of jealousy and judgement.
Have you felt this way before? I'm guilty of it. But I know it feels a hell of a lot better to celebrate others when they get what they've worked for and believe that their success is a reflection of what's available to me as well. ✨
Spread the good vibes and tag a friend that you're proud of (and make sure to let them know why!) #amplifytheabundance#communityovercompetition
Swipe to see my face when someone walked by and said: “wow, two little kids by yourself at the beach? You’re BRAVE!” (..except what they didn’t realize is that my husband is totally here with me, but he’s in the water) — Ya’ll I am definitely not that brave to do a beach day alone with these two yet!! 😬💁🏼♀️ But it was a nice compliment for someone to assume that I am!
What is the “bravest” thing you’ve done by yourself with your kids?? For me, it was the first time I did a grocery run with both girls after Aspen was born!
Todays live was live proof that you absolutely do not need to be good at makeup to do what I do. I hear this excuse more often than not, and it blows me away.
But then I stop and think about the fact that they dont see the hours of practicing we put in to better our skills off camera. They dont see the mess ups that are never posted to our news feed. They see the finished looks that may have taken us hours to finish - after the three times we removed it because it didnt look good.
So today on my live, I messed up and there was really no hiding it. Which I then hopped off and took pictures of it to show that IT'S OKAY. Its okay to mess up, just dont let it discourage you. Its okay to not be perfect. Its okay that you're not great at makeup and work for a company selling professional cosmetics. Its okay to start with the skills you have. and its okay to be REAL!
We are ALL guilty (myself included) of posting the highlights of our life on social media, but today I am going to start stepping out and showing you the real! Today I turn my head and show you the blooper eye in hopes that you see that its okay.

So yeh I went to the place where the Billabong Pipe Masters Comp is held.... yup....
One more week of summer. I’m in that weird space of needing routine but wanting time to slow down. Motherhood is a roller coaster, I tell ya 🤪
I’m taking this guy out tonight for some one on one time. Headed to see our favorite team at the ballpark ⚾️ No matter the crazy ride, I’m glad it’s with this dude.

Tales of the public bathroom: Def one of the more inconvenient pregnancy side effects. Sorry kiddos. Disclaimer: we did NOT stink it up 😂 Home Depot bathrooms are not for the faint of heart.
Playing tourist in our own city. 🚙🌴 Took a little road trip around LA in the FIAT 500X, blasting Broadway tunes all the way down the PCH. Stopped off for a little beach stroll at Point Dume. We always talk about not loving the West Side, but can't deny how gorgeous this view is! 😍🌊 Some of our favorite TV shows are shot here...casually looking around for Reese Witherspoon. ;) @FIATUSA#FIAT#500X#ad
Today, I feel like superwoman. Today, I feel like I can take on anything. 💪🏼 •
Some days are harder than others, for sure. The most important thing, is that you DON’T GIVE UP! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 •
Life is going to constantly throw things at you, that you don’t think you can overcome. You’re going to get bad news. You’re going to have a bad day. You’re going to feel like giving up. •
I urge you to change your mindset and find the positive when the going gets tough. Keep your head up, look ahead, and move forward. You are STRONG. You can do ANYTHING!!! 👐🏼🙌🏻 •
This whole concept is so new to me. I used to be such a negative person. Always expecting the worse, and hanging on to the bad things that happened. I’m going to be 100% honest and say, if it weren’t for coaching, I’d still be that negative nelly that nobody wanted to be around. 🤷🏼♀️ •
This journey has completely changed my perspective. Not only has it done that, but it’s helped to hold my accountable in multiple aspects. Fitness, mindset, emotions, faith and family life. 👪 •
I LOVE BEING A COACH! 💁🏼♀️🥰 •

Our annual “weekend before school starts getaway” filled me up and gave me the extra energy I needed to push these guys back out into this world. It feels exciting, sad and scary all at once to not keep holding them close. Do you feel the same? It is exciting to watch the people they are today and who they are becoming, sad to not witness each second and scary to trust this world that is very undeserving of trust right now. But i recognize holding these kids back is holding the world back from the change we so desperately need. How do you feel about back to school?? ✏️ 🍎 📚

Camdyns first night in his big boy bed! You can find me crying in my room all night 😂 but seriously, he is growing way too fast and I am not okay with it! Planning his second birthday has me emotional 24/7! So proud of this perfect little boy and I can’t wait to watch him move mountains as he grows! 🌿💙

My plans for this lovely Sunday are to stay in this room all day, read and absolutely nothing else. I feel like I haven’t had a day to myself in so long and even though I love being with other people I do miss the days when I get to enjoy my own company.
Happy Monday guys, I hope you’re having a good start to your week! Did you get up to anything nice over the weekend? I think I’m still on a sugar high from the brownie I made on Saturday... I’m currently away with work but joyously have found plenty of time for coffee during the day, and also started a new book this morning so it’s all good 😌
