Under a blue moon I saw you, so soon you’ll take me, up in your arms, to late yo beg you or cancel it... in starlight nights I saw you, so cruelly you kissed me, your lips a magic world, your sky all hung with jewels...
My new favorite print. Found him after seeing this exact face in the full moon the night before. Obviously I had to have it... and couldn’t wait to get it home to hang over my bed. 🌝
Thought y’all might like to see it in the daylight. #bluemoon#moonface#nolaart#justinfaunce#print#fullmoon#magic
Talvez você tenha razão
E o amanhã não exista
Mas hoje, viva mais uma vez
Sinta atmosfera da vida
Relaxe, não pense
E se concentre na luz da solução
Expressando sua fé

I have been asked a few times as to what I do with my Norse statuary, if it is just decorative. Nope! They are here in my home to work with, consult, impart their wisdom, watch over, if they are willing. Every day I sit by them and we have a chat; chat about the day, about good and bad things, advice, wisdom, imparting knowledge, learning from each other. Prayers, attention and gifts are exchanged for help. Right now I am working with Idunn and Eir to help heal my sprained ankle. I’ve already left herbs and cider on my altar, but by the statues I leave runes and other small offerings that resonate with the task or favour at hand. A bone, a nalbinding needle (to sew up the torn ligaments) and runes of gifts and healing/strength! ✨

Just because it’s painful doesn’t mean it isn’t meaningful. Some of the greatest lessons we ever learn hurt like a bitch. Don’t shy away from these moments, learn to embrace them because they show you where your strength lies.
When the aromatic savour of the pine goes searching into the deepest recesses of my lungs, I know it is life that is entering. I draw life in through the delicate hairs of my nostrils.
~Nan Shepherd, The Living Mountain
In the 1940s Nan Shepherd wrote a book about her experience walking in the Cairngorms called the Living Mountain. She writes about how walking in the vast, changeable, elemental wilderness actual centres and grounds us in our bodies and hearts. Most of the book reads like a love poem to Earth, Air & most of all Water. Water is everywhere in the mountains of Scotland and you can always here a stream gushing through stones, the patter of rain on leaves or on your jacket. I've just returned from hiking in the same mountains and they truly are ALIVE. Lying awake for most of the night in a sagging tent hearing the deep breathing of the hills, the wild howls of wind over the boulder fields, and the sound of rushing water crashing down the slopes into the pools.
Honestly it felt like we were camped on the back of a gigantic wild animal that could shake us off and kill us at any moment.
Feeling the life of the mountain beneath you and above you just returns life into your veins!
The summer energy of the sleeping Cailleachan is everywhere up in those hills but one of them did wake up to send us to hell with a wild storm! 😂
We found wild blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and juniper berry. Lots of yarrow and heather too and of course the Pines. And we heard the owls hooting mournfully over the silent inland loch (lake in Scottish), and the fish breaking the surface in the icy mountain pools.
I am a city witch in my practice but I can't wait to get back out there. .
And remember... if you visit a national park always read the rules and follow them, they are there to protect the ecosystems which are fragile and vulnerable.🙏
