Fyffes 🍌 is making a difference in the life of children.
One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is an organization that creates educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth by providing them with low-cost, low-power laptops loaded with software.
Our partner in Colombia, Fundauniban has donated 1,800 laptops to students aged 3-12 years old, at 12 different educational institutions throughout Urabá. They have also trained both the students and teachers how to use the new equipment. Better education is critical to the future prosperity of these regions.
Fyffes has worked with Uniban since the 1970s and every box of bananas we sell for them contributes to projects like this. #Bananacomputer #💻 🍌 #makingadifference#onelaptopperchild#socialcontribution#supportchildren#fyffes#fyffesbananas#fyffes_me#fyffesmiddleeast #

This is a drawing done by one of our favorite For Purpose Kids, Trisha Rao, author of “Believe In Yourself”, a book@she wrote when she was 9 years old.
Her Mom, @sumanarao13 , posted her picture today with this caption: “A drawing by Trisha the night before day 1 of 7th grade perhaps to remind herself to ‘dare to be different’.” ❤️🙌🏼❤️
Dare to be Different- yes! We couldn’t agree more.
Thanks Trisha, for being an amazing inspiration and For Purpose Kid!
Check out these results using the Body Contour Cream.
Friends share stuff that works- especially if it doesn’t require anesthesia. “My personal 60 days before and after. I am a fitness and indoor cycling instructor. This Cream did what the gym just could not! I teach 12 classes a week, 4 of them being indoor cycling classes, and I could just not get rid of the bumpy thighs and wrinkly knees until I gave the Firm a try!” ~Melinda

“After a period of death and rebirth, comes a period of knowing. Then another death must occur”
We only really settle for so long, as we are on some level always fluid and in the process of transition.
Over time, there have been people in my world who have found this tricky to understand. How the Michelle that they see today, is not the same Michelle that will exist in a week, a month or a year. This is the inherent nature of being a visionary, creative and social butterfly at heart. We are always fluid.
Despite this, there are some grassroots things that are forever consistent. Yet, these things will play out on a different level and through a different lens at various times.
While I exist with a level of softness, my grassroots are forever entrenched in some of the most deeply held matters that affect society. And this is what has, and I suspect, always will drive me the most strongly.
These are the things that once our everyday needs are met, get to the very heart and soul of what, in my eyes, we are here for. We are here to extend ourselves beyond ourselves and to contribute to the greater good and society in some way that it authentic to us.
To use what we have to influence social change, to reduce social isolation, improve wellbeing on all levels, to become more understanding and inclusive of diversity, to assist others who don’t have what they need.
For in any given moment, WE could be, and at various times in our lives, ARE that person. We are only ever a few life decisions or circumstances away from this place.
In tuning in to our own internal barometers, that place of deep knowing, where our heart, soul and integrity lies, we are forever redirected back here. Despite the many deaths and rebirths, the feeling of being “on pointe” is never far away from this place.
As often and as much as we expand, there will always be a point of “letting go”, when we will return to this quiet truth.
Day 5. Now that we are good and lathered up on our follow through and making the CHOICE to CHANGE its time to work on finishing the job. We all have had things that we have either started and not finished or things we have dreamed of doing but haven’t had the nerve to do. Today i want to INSPIRE and MOTIVATE you to ACTION nothing happens IF nothing happens. Your “WHY” has to be stronger than your “why not”. Your probably thinking HOW? I will tell you how....it’s going to require EVERYTHING of YOU and everything FROM you to get it done.
What do you really want?
What are you willing to sacrifice?
How much does it cost?
The most important question is how much are you willing to pay?
Whatever you DECIDE make sure you are DEDICATED to the PROCESS. If it’s going to get better YOU must DO BETTER. Let’s get it💪🏾💯 #mr_me_too_indy#mywhyisworthit#motivationalspeaker#certifiedyouthspecialist#greatnessiswithin#empower#changinglives#inspire#makingadifference#inspiration

Too many kittens to count for me so far this year, maybe even more than last year. Between rescuing, vetting, socializing some of them, attempting to find fosters that did or did not work out well, relocating a handful to barns, and trying to adopt out everyone else completely in-house, it's been a struggle. The requests continue to pile up and it is assumed that I have unlimited time, space, and resources. The truth is that I work 40-50 hours a week at a non-cat related job. Hopefully I can start bringing you guys along on more of my journeys and share footage of how things are for me in the rescue world. It isn't always as easy as it looks, and the language isn't as clean as it appears here, but the job needs to get done. 📷 @cnn@cnnheroes
Owen: For a fashion afioncinado, cleavage is out !
Olivea: Oh yeah😮? Great🤣! I hate 🥶cleavages, cause I only have 🐖ribs.
Owen: No worries, Oliv! The back view is the 🆕in thing. The back side above the waistline! Your ribs make for a great back view❗️
Olivea: 🤯☺️🥺Owen, I don’t think bones there are called ribs🤓...
Owen: 🤭.... my middle school biology class🕳....
Olivea: Ha-ha! Bet you’d never thought 🐷I was not all that scatter🧠brained 🔙in middle school or, these days😊
Owen: Olivea, you always share🍕 your wisdom when I’m least prepared, I ...I...
Olivea: Shut up, Owen🙄! What’s special about the back side of a woman, any way?
Owen: Oh, I digressed - A quiet kind of sexiness.💯 totally! Here is 🎹Yuja Wang, with an amazing back view.
Olivea: 🎹Wang plays Shostakovich 🎹 concerto 1 at the Season Opening concert for the 🆕season. What dish🍽 will be a good 🔍match 🔎for the piece ?
👨🏽🍳Owen: Celery with tofu for people with an acquired taste.
Olivea: Let me try...Hmmm, hard to describe.
👨🏽🍳Owen: Plain tofu doesn’t carry any flavor, which is what I used here, in anticipation of the celery. After being cooked together, the tofu pieces pick up the celery flavor,💯totally. Not just the corners, not just the outside layer. You’d be surprised the extent to which the celery flavor imbues the tofu all the way to the core, with little visual 🎨clue.
Olivea: Oh yeah, the tofu pieces are still the same color. I wouldn’t have known it was celery flavored, if you hadn’t tipped me 🤚🏽off

Having a busy day? 💗Me too - don’t forget to let your pelvic floor release and relax as well as you breathe in - breathe all the way to your pelvic floor and relax. 💗When we are busy and rushing we often hold our pelvic floor on as well - take a moment to check can you let your go of your pelvic floor?
We all need a little COMFORT... Samantha is the perfect girl, well behaved, obviously very beautiful and a SERVICE DOG, so why would you think she needs flower essences?
First, because she is now a mature age, and second because she is usually working... The working dogs minds are always thinking of others, doing for others. So when Samantha goes in for grooming, her Service Jacket comes off, she’s offered BlackWing Farms COMFORT to help her really relax and take her mind off working and even get silly! ( just look at that face! Serenity, relaxation & content)
First blended for older animals uncomfortable with the aging process, and used by families trying to adjust well to the change.
Great to use at home, a spritz or two in the water bowl, or around bedding, kennel, favorite toy... Flower Essence blend of Dandelion for cheerfulness, Pine for peace, Clover for gentleness, Oak for strength, homeopathic Chamomilla 6x for worry.
986 deliveries later and it’s just as exciting as the first! it is impossible to sum up what this month was like in a post, I would need a day of your time... sipping something outside with a big ol’ box of kleenex at the ready. our team is relatively small, but growing every day. we are scattered across the country, with numerous commitments and priorities in our life. but we came together last night, in a goosebumps inducing kind of way and killed some huge goals. this is not about shampoo, it’s about grace and grit and hustle and heart and commitment and courage. I am lucky. there is room for more. p.s. I’m reaching for the tissues, so meet me, with a drink, outside, in 10.

I love facts and and I love a good bargain... According to Business News Daily the average cost to start a home based business is $2,000-$5,000. It would be ridiculous to think that you could start a business with EVERYTHING YOU NEED, including proven clinical results, state of the art consumable products that literally everyone needs, and the most incredible community of positive and empowering people for $199. But that’s EXACTLY what is happening for the next two days. dm me to join the fastest growing hair care company in the world (FACT). 🖤

Poverty and malnutrition are widespread.
790 million people in the world are chronically undernourished. About 27,000 children under 5 die of poverty and starvation every day.
Most edible grain is used to feed animals for meat, dairy, and egg production.
We grow enough edible grain to provide 50% more than is required for every person in the world. Most of this edible grain is used to feed animals for meat, dairy, and egg production. As a result, the price of grain has risen by hundreds of percent in recent years, pricing poor people out of the market for basic foods.
The world’ s cattle alone consume enough food to feed 8.7 billion people - more than the entire human population.
Feeding millions of tonnes of grains to animals and raising billions of animals to feed humans is callously indifferent to the undernourished people in the world, whose sustenance depends on the same basics (wheat, soybeans, vitamins and materials) as the food fed to factory animals.
Plant-based foods are a more effective way to feed people.
It takes many kilograms of plant protein fed to a cow to produce a single kilogram of beef protein. 80-95% of food energy available in plants is wasted when converted to meat for human consumption. It is more efficient for people to consume foods lower in the food chain (i.e. to consume the plant foods directly). Protein from plant-based sources is also healthier than the protein in animal sources and does not contribute to problems such as heart disease or cancers.
Everyone in this world deserves to eat. When you choose to go on a plant-based diet, you are not only eliminating the suffering of animals: you are also eliminating the starvation of children and people in the world and slowing down the process of climate change. It is also better for your health too and is a diet that has been scientifically proven to have the ability to reverse heart disease 💚.
Eating up the world: the environmental consequences of human food choices. (n.d.). [Leaflet].

Yesterday after coming home from lunch, we could hear Gambit crying but couldn't see where she was. We found her behind the couch flat on the floor. She has having seizures. She had paralysis and was going into a coma. We rushed her to Loma Linda Animal Hospital. Dr. Sig took immediate action pumping her with fluids and glucose. After half an hour of treatment she regained consciousness and came back around. (This was Gambit yesterday) Doctor Sig said if she made it through the night, which she had a 50-50 chance of doing, to bring her back in the morning. Gambit was too weak to pull blood yesterday to diagnose what was wrong hopefully we'll get some more answers this morning. .
With Tails and Gambit both in critical condition we had to be up every hour on the hour to give them nutri-cal and urgent Care food. We had zero to no sleep last night and we are currently at the vet right now. At the end of the day it's all worth it if we can save a life. .
This is the third time we are at the animal hospital in 24 hours. .
With school starting, we thought we would share a photo of Officers Diaz and Granado. Officer Granado was the School Resource Officer when Officer Diaz was a student at Daugherty Elementary many moons ago!!! #rolemodel#makingadifference
