Mango update: Manbulloo’s Katherine farm will start spot picking late September! ‘Spot picking’ is what our amazing pickers do in the field when the trees might only be showing a few mature fruit. The younger less mature fruit need more time to grow on the tree. So our teams ‘spot pick’ the mature fruit that’s ready to come off, while they leave the younger fruit to grow and mature. By doing this, Manbulloo provide delicious #kensingtonpride mangoes that are picked and packed at their prime, which is why our mangoes are always so tasty 😋
Me and my little papa made this smoothie bowl with love. It works for me as a fun way to sneak in the healthy stuff lol. For the smoothie we added frozen mango, yellow dragon fruit, peach, avocado & banana. Topped it off with coconut flakes, dragon fruit, watermelon, banana, goji berries, walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds and granola. He always eats the toppings then the smoothie after ☺️🌸
Hold each Kensington Pride mango length ways and slice down each side as close to the seed as possible.
Brush the mango flesh of each cheek with coconut sugar. Heat olive oil in a non-stick grill pan.
Place mango cheeks on grill pan and cook for approximately 10 minutes on medium heat or until golden brown.
Top with buffalo mozzarella, walnuts and thyme. Drizzle with balsamic glaze to serve. *
**CAUTION: After you serve this, the delicious taste may cause multiple random Italians to show up for dinner and may cause them to never leave. Proceed with delicious caution.
[The mango is native to Southern Asia, and belongs to the same family as the cashew and pistachio nut🥜 Mangos flourish in tropical climates; therefore, they are grown in Hawaii, Florida, California, and Puerto Rico!]
They are a great source of:
🥭 Fiber 💩
🥭 Provide 100% of the daily need for Vitamin C- development and repair of all body tissues: collagen, immune system, wound healing, absorption of iron, etc.
🥭 35% of Vitamin A- healthy vision, immune system, & organs: heart, lungs, kidneys, etc.
🥭 10% of B6 and 20% of Folate (B9)- B vitamins help turn food into energy. B6 plays key roles in keeping the brain and nervous system healthy. B9 plays key roles in making red & white blood cells in the bone narrow, and with producing DNA & RNA (genetic building blocks of the body)!
🥭 Polyphenols (cancer fighting compounds derived from plant based foods)!!
I’ve been obsessed with mangos and always try to make sure I have some around! When I first got a mango I had no idea how to cut it. Now that I finally figured out how to make the pretty mango grid, I figured I’d share it with y’all😊➡️ How to cut a mango:
1️⃣ A mango has a long flat oval shaped pit/seed- once you know how to steer clear of it, the rest is easy.
2️⃣ Cut the mango down the side of the pit- when the mango is in position where the stem is on top, cut the mango.
3️⃣ Finish by cutting a grid pattern on each mango half to make the pretty mango cut🤩😋 #mango#mangoseason#mangotango#howtocutamango#healthyfood#fruit#fruitarian#healthbenefits#nutritious#vitamins#delicioso#foodphotography

Did you know? That our milky mango is made by using fresh mangos that we cut then puree? Not to mention it’s become a fan favourite at any festival.
